Hi there

Im playing poker for few monthis not that much so Im posting here. I think that my game isnt that bad , but I have a really big problem with myself .

Im beating 2$ and 5$ HU on PS with ROI like 10/20% but there starts my problem . When Im makng a deposit and starting to play I play like 4/5 h sesions and then I start to freak out just by looking that I earnd only 20$ or so and Im starting to search and play HU or whatever for 1/3 to all my bankroll . I know I could go higher and higher and still be a winnig player even if its sng or cash but I want to happen it so fast

I wasted so much because that its makes me sick . Is there any resolution to stop that .

How do U make it to play just one stakes ure capable of ?? Is there software to help me or something

Probably quit poker and find a different hobbie.

Honestly, I am not trying to be harsh. But if you can't find the discipline to follow simple bankroll management rules then you will never make it anywhere. Come back to poker when you have that discipline. Otherwise you are probably wasting some valuable time.

Yea i agree with Sam here it sounds like your really not cut out for this and more of a gambler if money is your main motive and this is what it seems to be. If i looked and i had saw i had won $20 that is 10 buyins at the $2 HU thats alot mate. Most people are happy with the 2-4 buyins and thats normally a good day.

What i do to stop myself from going up is use the PokerStars filter so i can only see NL10 games so im not even intrigued by NL25+

I tried lots of things . And Sam yes Ill quit it but i had to try one more time its not that Im searching for fun or it makes me thrills just Im so confident that I can beat higher levels and Im shooting them

But your post have some truth that if I dont have the discipline in me I should quit it for real and yes for sure it takes lot of valuable time . Mayby not for ever cause Im playing live cash games and there I dont have such problem

I just try it one more time and if I loose my depist I wont make it anymore and ty for reply

Lmao

no but he is right.

so is sam, its a pretty stupid move. i can understand a player wanting to take shots and stuff and wantin to make more money, but if u keep doin this its a waste of ur roll.

Also 4-5 hour sessions are way too long.

Ok heres my own solution .. in my personal life i always been the type of guy who wanted to be at the point Z right away after a started the to point A.And guess what.. i never cachievied any goals that way. I had to realize one day that i needed to start very slowly and learn, that way i achieved much more things.
You got to start at the button to climb slowly to the top.
Every pro or very good poker player started that way, with solid BR management skills and they all got some downswing at one point or another.
Always look it as a long term, instead of wanting to hit a home run and after what you will say to yourself ''hey i can do it'' and win like 1k or 2k and lose it all again and again because probability are that you will sooner or later lose it all.

I have so big ego that even now I think if I had 4k$$ or so I could easly beat 100$ HU ^^ just like that

This is probably the worst thing in me I know its stupid but I cant stop it .

As I sad I depist last time and then if I go busto mayby go back to some freerolls time to time and having fun in live but according to yours advices I should

-Dont look at my profits just try to play for month on one steaks

-Play shorter seasions

-Be more patient and humble

having a big ego isnt a problem.

I went through the same thing last year, I played poker casually, has some success as well as some dark times, but I never played alot, and I would just deposit what I wanted to play with for the weekend or the week.

starting to follow bankroll management is/will be one of the best things for me, it isn't hard to do. Yes playing and winning a couple dollars here and there isn't a life changer, BUT your goal should be to move up to where you can make good money and getting there the fast way isnt the best/easiest way.

Also have you looked into the gamblers anonymous thing on the poker room you play? i think you can set specific criteria for biggest game you can play/ biggest deposit etc
