Is Big O H/L? Is Big O H/L?

I’m looking at playing this tournament at the Venetian: https://www.venetianlasvegas.com/con...tructure_9.pdf

I’m wondering if Big O is typically H/L or if it needs to be listed that way. Where I’m from we just play Hi, but I’ve read that it may be H/L.

Thanks in advance

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it is high low. There are plenty of live poker and MTT forums here (as opposed to beginner's questions when you are asking about an $800 donkament) where you can ask if calling the cardroom for clarification is too hard.

Big O has different meanings depending on where you are in the country. In our area Big O just means you get 5 cards .. whether it's high only or H/L needs another designation.

They are closed right now but I would definitely call 702-414-7657 to make sure. 5 and 6 card games can be tricky.

There's an old thread/post on this site about a Player who lost his whole stack when he moved into what he thought was a H/L game (placard even said so) but the Players had voted to change the game to high only. Dealers allowed it and 'that' Floor didn't know about the change.

Obv a tournament is a much tighter issue, but he point is that you need to verify these things before you get involved or sit down .. especially during WSOP when Dealers are potentially weak. Well done checking into this .. GL
