Recently, i came across this situation and was thinking about it.

So here's the scenario,

You have AA
Board 7810A

Say the pot is $30 and you have $40. Its just you and another guy.

If you think your opponent is drawing, how much should we bet ?
I was thinking about other scenarios but i think only against draws do we really have an issue. Since against most of the other types of hands we are pretty much value betting say $15 and shoving probably almost any blank.
But the question here is, how much should we bet and why?

Thanks.

I'm saying we are making an assumption in this instance? What do we do if we think he has a draw?

Basically, he's saying you are asking a question without providing enough information to get an answer. We need to know some details.

Firstly, what are the stakes? I'd assume 50nl or below, if not, why aren't you buying in full?

Also, what was the action preflop and on the flop?

bet about 15 and then shove river. once u bet more than that tho i think he will start assuming hes gonna b committed and therefore fold a lot more of his range. so its better to 'tempt' him in over 2 streets imo

idk how u would find yourself in this situation tho in terms of stack sizes.

Okay then here's a scenario for you to think about then.

6 Handed. $0.25/$0.50

UTG Folds.
MP raises $0.50 to $1.
Hero (CO) raises $2 to $3. (Hero has AA)
BTN folds.
SB folds.
BB calls.

Pot: $9.50

Flop
7810

BB checks.
MP bets $3.50
Hero raises $5 to $8.50
BB calls.
MP calls.

Pot:$35

Turn
7810A

BB checks.
MP checks.
Hero? ($37 left started with $48.50)

Okay so if its the first time playing with these 2 people and you played with them for only about 3-4 hours or so and you don't have any strong reads but you put them on draws. What do you do ? I mean in this spot it isn't horrible to just shove since its more than the pot by $2 but that is the reason i was asking initially where by your stack is 1.5x of the pot.
