When I first started I play SnG's, I sucked at them and still do really, I just dont have the mindset to stay concentrated enough and I end up as you say, watch a video or read some web pages Over the past year I have played mainly NL2 cash games and had a lot more success.

I still sometimes like to watch vids and read web, but I'm working on keeping my concentration on the poker. I hate it when my tables time out because I am doing something else and I miss good spots.

Don't play any more than 2 tables to start with.

Play whichever games you prefer, cash or SNG etc.

Don't play outside your bankroll.

Make sure you consider every decision - why am I betting here, why am I calling etc etc

Don't watch videos or do other stuff when you're playing, concentrate on the action.

^this

Play shorter sessions and focus 100% on every decision. If u don't get the basics right then you will find it very hard in the long run

I think i am a better player at sng's cuz when i play them i'm solid and not trying to outplay anybody just try to hold on in there till the blinds jump and after that its jam fest...In cash games im weaker mainly cuz in a corner of my eye i have durrrr 3-betting ivey and then i ussaly do some dumb ****

Play solid ABC poker. The lower levels is pretty straight forward. Bet your strong hands hard and check your weaker hands. I play ABC poker at 25nl with a little extra aggression and it's been quite profitable for me.
Don't get too tricky and don't bluff on the river all that often. C-bets and semi-bluffs with strong draws are fine.

I use to play 8-12 tables because i thought grinding was my only way to win. But i've recently dropped down to 4-6 tables and my win rate has doubled or more. There's no sure way to make money, but be patient. Patience is your friend

What I'm reading is: "Help! I watch videos while I play poker! How can I pay more attention to poker?!?"

Step one: don't watch videos while playing poker.

I'm not saying to can't make money by playing ABC poker while watching a video. Well, clearly *you* can't, at least not at this stage. Concentrate on your game first and you'll eventually get to autopilot in the microstakes. Grinding microstakes is boring for everyone, but it's a means to an end. Remember that.
