Hey guys -

I am a frequent casino player (commerce casino) ... i play $100 NL (1/3) and absolutely love it

I recently decided to take up online poker, so I downloaded PStars

If i deposit $100 dollars, whats the best way to make some money? Sit n Go tourneys? Cash game?

What is the equivalent to $100 NL on pstars? Is there a $1/$3 game on pstars or just $1/$2 ??

Thanks

deposit max money so you can get a bigger bonus, not sure if it's 500 or 600 but it's free money. Sign up through a rakeback site as well, download pokertracker, and you're set.

afaik there is only 1/2 on stars, this is 200nl. You should try 10nl which is .05/.10 and see how it goes. Move down if your losing and move up when you feel your comfortably beating it.
Now that I think of it, best start with 2nl or 5nl, if you beat that then move up to 10nl when you got $200 or more.

if you're a good player, don't start at microstakes, what a waste of time seeing as how medium stakes games are completely different

Stars only give max $50 bonus so he has already maxed it if he used the bonus code "Stars50".

Stars don't do rb.

Poker tracker or hold em manager are great but until your fully comfortable playing online there is no real point as it's more likely to distrac/confuse you at the start.

It's 100 bb's, so just divide by 100, 20nl is .10/.20
On stars though the don't have 20nl, they have 25nl ( 0.10/ 0.25)

Anything below 100nl is refered to as micro stakes.

If money matters then you must first of all sign on to Full Tilt with $600 and get the full bonus.

But be very careful to sign on with an affiliate that gives rakeback or you'll miss the 27%.

Once you've done your bonus on FT then you can make other decisions about stakes, games and sites with the benefit of experience...and $600 of their free cash.

You will get crushed at 1/2 online if you only play 1/2 live.

THIS. I've played as high as 3/6 live, and the players are just terrible. i still dont know why i even play online, i'm at best break-even/slight winner at 25NL online.
