Was this a bad call with pocket aces? Was this a bad call with pocket aces?

Have been playing poker since halfway through the pandemic and was wondering I have been trying to improve my play. Wanted to get the opinion of better players on this forum if this was a bad call.

Private House 1/1 game with 6 players, most of the players at the table have been playing poker for slightly a year.

Hero in UTG , main villain on SB

Preflop UTG straddle 2
AcAs (Hero) utg +1 calls as players have been raising preflop often, straddler also attempts a squeeze often
2 callers behind (CO and button)
Villain (SB) raises 12
I flat call, under-repping my hand and hoping 2 callers flat
2 callers flat

Flop (49)
5h 10d 8 d
Sb raises 21
I re raise 63
2 folds (CO and button)
Sb calls

Turn (175)
8c
Sb checks i bet 80
Sb tanks then calls, which makes me think he doesn't have a house or and 8. Since this is a house game and slow-playing isn't really done here.
At this point, I think that it is unlikely that SB has an 8 or a flopped set, he is likely playing with top-pair good kicker or has an overpair.

River (335)
Jh
Sb shoves for 142
I think for a bit and felt that SB could be value shoving wide since I under-repped my hand. SB could be value betting with tons of over pairs which I beat, straights such as Q9 or 97 are also definitely out of the villains range and I have already eliminated pocket 10s or any hands with an 8 from the villains. Villain could also be have a house with pocket jacks which hit on the river.

I call, but what would be the correct play here?

Preflop is awful, especially as you got what you wanted and someone raised. Playing aces 4 ways with high spr is a great way to get stacked. Raise pre, as played definitely 3 bet pre.
River, you have raised flop and followed through on turn, only to get shoved on on the river. I would be very surprised not to see JJ or 97 here. Nobody with a working brain is doing this with KK or QQ. Also, why bet an 8 when you did it for him?
Why do you discount 97 from his range? Or J8 for that matter?

Preflop: Your reason for the initial limp was right, then, instead of the ISO play vs the raiser, you invite a multiway pot OOP with a hand that will lose equity on every street vs 3 opponents.

Flop: fine. You narrowed the field. (Terminology check - SB did not raise, he bet. First to act can't raise, he can only bet or check. Thus you raised since there no raise in front of you)

Turn: Sb tanks then calls, which makes me think he doesn't have a house or and 8. OK, what. Based on the preflop and flop action, he pretty much plays his entire range like this (though 55 and 88 are unlikely, TT is in his range as are draws and some 8x), especially vs such a small bet. I'd bet more like 120 to charge him more to draw, especially since combo draws are in his range.

River: You only have to be ahead 24% of the time to make the call break even, but at 1/1 bet-call, check-call, open shove is rarely a mediocre hand, I think you have to fold.
