I'm new to the forum and i think it's amazing! I never knew there was such a massive poker forum out there. Really awesome.

Now i have a bit of an issue. I play solid poker until i get a few beats in a row. 2 weeks ago i deposited 120 $ and after a week of intensive poker i was up to 1500.. After getting 3 nasty beats and losing some flips i went berserk. I blew the 1500 within 2 hours on the 2/4 limit. Is there anything you guys have to avoid getting tilt?

proper bankroll management

You will have enough buy ins, so you cant blow up, dont need to care that much when losing some buy ins

+1 to this. It definitely sounds like BR management is an issue.

As far as tilt. Just walk away for a while. If you really have that much trouble controlling your emotions when you take a beat just take a break for a while until you've cooled down.

Get some good poker strategy books (not ebooks).
Place them to the left and right of your monitor. This will let you keep in mind to never lack discipline.

A good thing to do is to call a good friend and tell him that you just had some terrible bad beats or whatever negative happened. I know that sounds funny, but my brother does when he is in danger of going tilt. That helped him to calm down and concentrate on other things for a while.

I hope this will help you

The simplest thing you can do is just step away.

Obviously you're not going to be thinking rationally after you tilt, so do whatever it takes to get yourself off the computer and take your mind off poker for a while. Then step back when your head is clear.
