This kind of hand makes me cry.

Inb4 raise turn, but honestly, wtf is villain doing? I have him as a 17/13 ABC player over a decent sample!

30/26 which meant i thought it was possible for him to have J10. And maybe. If he bets pot on the river i am snap calling, but i very rarely see overshoves as bluffs.
Might be a bad fold but as a general rule if i am not sure and im timing out (this occasion) i generally opt to fold as a leak of mine is/was calling on the river too much as i level myself into calling.

His fold to 3-bet was 100% (over a smallish sample though) so didn't want him folding his AJ type hands. I probably would normally 3-bet as a default but had position so called. Planned on calling down, from the flop, but river bet was weird.

And why was i calling down?
I think hands i beat like AJ AT Qx hands fold to a raise. So the only hands that carry on are AQ and better. It also gives him a chance to barrell draws and air.

Interesting experiment. Thought he was a fish who just found a raise button. He tanked for 15-30sec between the raises. Limp click-it-back tank for 20sec before raise, gotta be the aces right? Was expecting to see low PP, broadway or even ATC.

yippe, i don't mind a fold or I don't mind a call. For your ranges sake I don't think you should be folding all that often since 77 is your only nuttish hand (and should be discounted somewhat since you didn't raise at any point) and your hand is underrepped. But since its 10nl his ship is going to be slightly weighted more towards nuts.

Yes, at these stakes (particularly playing PLO) more or less any contested pot is going to get to the rake cap of $2.80.

In that pot, for example, if the rake hadn't been capped it would have been over $50.

This means that the effective rake for the game is less.

Unfortunately at microstakes it can be very hard to reach the cap - for example at 5NL you need a pot of just over $24 to hit the cap, which won't happen very often.

Are you guys checking back this river, or going for thin value? I bet small because it's really hard for him to call a big bet with a worse hand on that kind of scary board, (also because his range that I beat is very thin by that river card). Would you even just raise the flop?
