I love it when you're able to call your own bad beats

Succesfully called one 2 outer and one 4 outer! Feeling like a boss 8-)

I hit the tables this afternoon playing my slightly more aggro loose style pre-flop. Things started off great and I ran well in a 3way pot with NFD. I was up a few buy-ins and then some sick run bad came. I probably spewed off a buy-in in the process. Ran bad more to put me down on the session. I did manage to get back to even then got involved in some big pots to put me back to session high. Got to stop feeling tilted about the sick beats. You'd think i'd be good at that by now being somewhat of a PLO veteran I can't wait for my BR to start with a new digit, it's boring seeing the same number all the time.

I decided to open a bit light on the BTN with a DS hand. It looked like it was going in 3ways and I had NFD. So it was pretty much a case of whether I want to jam and miss possibly feeling silly or make what could be close to a +EV play and hope to get lucky. I felt brave this time It was nice seeing no-one held a in their hand.

This definitely tilted me up a bit. I was disappointed to see villain's hand pre-flop and just hoped they wouldn't flop a flush draw on me and we'd just end up chopping it. Flop seemed pretty good for a chop but was just hoping no backdoor draws would come in. The case K *groan* came on the turn to spoil my plans.

This guy ran ridiculously good vs me. I decided to play the JT45ds for some reason and called a 3bet. Flopping an OESD + flush draw I decided to get it in. I don't know how I missed. 65% equity for me

Same villain as above, it really started to tilt me how he was doing this. Once again I opened with a DS hand and called a 3bet. After flopping top pair + gutshot straight draw + 2nd NFD I decided to donk bet thinking we'd get it all in. I had to fire turn even though I wasn't happy about it. 67% equity on the flop and I missed it all again.

AAKK out of the BB, i'm sitting >100bb and it's at a € table which means it's going to be a little more costly. It was a pretty easy 4bet. I just had the sick feeling that the villain who was running good against me (on BTN) was going to be miles ahead. Fortunately I managed to get him to fold and some donk to call off with a flush draw which I dodged!

AAK3ds out of the BB for me. I hate playing it OOP but there was quite a bit of money in the pot and I decided to try build it. Flopped top set and decided to fire even though flush draw up there. Turn was kind of blank so I put the rest in, tilting to get called by an OESD which hits on river.

A hand which did work out for me. I knew I could be up against a straight, but with a set + flush draw I knew i'd be a slight favourite vs 98 with no flush draw. I was just hoping no-one else had a set/2 pair. that turn.

Haha, yeah I've been doing this a lot over the last few days!

Thought I may as well join in on this thread
I mainly play PLO10 and small stakes MTT's on Stars, occasionally dabble in the 2.50 180's as well. Bankroll has taken a severe beating over the last week or so, due to what I like to believe is variance, but realistically I know some it's it's my own bad play

Anyway, current BR is $117, yeah I know lol BR management (PLO10), it was around $400 a week ago, but I started playing higher MTT's then I should

Goals -
*Post some hands I struggled with
*At least double current BR
*Final table at least 1 MTT/SNG
*Win a SM seat via a 1.65 sat

I'm a pretty casual player with a full time job, so this is more for fun then anything

GL all!!

I'm starting to get a little consistency in my sessions now. Playing a bit looser but don't feel like I was spewing or making a ton of mistakes. Today I definitely ran good in a few spots though so not going to be over-confident about my play. Got the roll to start with a new number which is always nice (when it's higher) + get my rakeback later on, so hopefully should get a few £ from that.

I decided to open and call 3bet in position. I was close to folding on flop, but I thought with overpair + gutshot straight I could peel for a turn. Turn wasn't great but I had flush draw to go with my overpair + gutshot. Vs a naked AAxx i'm in ok-ish shape. I decided to jam it and got a bit of luck

ups...bit of a nasty beat for villain. I flopped top 2 and decided to go for a funky min raise. When villain re-raised I decided it was probably best to peel because of how draw heavy the board was and I didn't especially want to get it in with top 2 vs a monster draw. I turned an OESD and at this point I was really more worried about KT than sets. Well it turns out I was up against a set and needed to hit my OESD.

A hand which didn't work out so well for me. I lost most of my big pots at the € tables today which hurts more. For some reason I decided to play my T985ds from the SB, there was so much money in there and I thought if I hit a good flop it could be worth playing. Flopping top pair with a flush draw I decided to bet but knew there was a lot of bad turns for me. I was pretty much only betting a T/9/8 turn. I got my T and decided to pot it. Just annoying that villain had a big draw from the flop and got there on the river

Some run good with top set. Up against a massive draw, bad turn for me, good river

I decided to open my aces on the BTN. Rather than 4bet, I decided to call and play a flop. I didn't really like that my aces weren't at least suited so thought it best to play them conservatively. Flopping 2nd nut straight I decided to get it in. I was kind of expecting to see at least a flush draw, but it was just top 2 and a gutshot which I fortunately needed to dodge.

Got my rakeback through for the period from monday - today : £15 which is always handy. I was winning in my session earlier despite some run bad moments. Lost it back and got caught bluffing a few times. I think I finished up a little on the session. Still going in the right direction so pretty happy overall. I'm playing pretty well despite being a bit life tilted, thinking maybe I should give up girls....

Zomg! TILT Always at the € tables and when I start to get >100bb deep. I flopped middle set and after getting raised on flop I decided to re-raise and hope they didn't have top set. I fired pot on turn and board's wet as hell and I don't know what river I want to see at this point in time. Having only €1 behind on the river means i'm practically shoving any river. So tilting that they had top 2 + a gutshot and got there.

Fortunately I did have some run good at the € tables. I got dealt AAQT from the BB and decided to 3bet pre as it was a good AAxx. I bet a bit smallish on the flop as I didn't want to commit to the hand yet. Holding a Q it made being up against QQ much less likely. I was thinking I could be up against OESD's and maybe 2 pair combos. I decided to fire turn big when I picked up my NFD and was thinking vs 2 pair hands I was in ok shape and ahead of the draws. I just so happened to run into 2 sets! With 2 aces and a flush draw to win I managed to scoop.

I decided to take a flop with my DS hand. Seemed like a good shot to jam it in with NFD + a pair 3way. Surprisingly i'm a favourite with 41%

Jizzed in my pants at this flop. I won obv.

One of the last hands of my session. I've played with this villain quite a bit and he's fishy as hell. I didn't want to 3bet just because i'd prefer to trap and I don't really enjoy 3betting hands like these as they can be awkward to play post flop. I decided to call flop bet as i'm ahead of villain's range. Only a 44/AA and 2x ahead. I hit the best card on turn and villain fired big so I decided to just call rather than raise. Fortunately, villain complied on the river and jammed it.

just moved to will hill. Is it standard procedure for online support to ask for your bday and security question? I just find that disturbing.
04-05-2012 , 12:40 PM
Standard to prove ur id, especially in climate of collusion, bots etc

ok but that wasn't my question.

Is it standard for support to ask AGE and SECURITY QUESTION(for when I forget my pw)?
04-05-2012 , 03:56 PM
Yup.
How else are they meant to identify you?

and why would they ask me for answer to my security question?
04-05-2012 , 04:01 PM
So they know its you, not just someone who knows ur dob. Thats why u have a security question in the first place
04-05-2012 , 04:02 PM
^ they want the answer to my security question.. do you know how dumb that sounds? If I gave a random my emails security question, it's the same as giving them my password

You're speaking to THEIR online support...What's the purpose of a security question if you shouldn't give it out???!

So...what's the point of a security question if you forget the answer? You're not going to be able to answer it...

This will go on forever. If you want play on William Hill, you give them your answer, plain and simple. If you're that concerned, call them. The security question is just another form of protection to protect YOU.

Thanks Kev, for a moment there I thought I was being an idiot
04-05-2012 , 04:14 PM
lol how is it protecting you?

you and you alone should know the answer to your security question.

If I know your security answer then I can access your account. I don't think you understand what I am trying to say. for example, Give me your security question and password for your email account. Let's see if it you call it safe when a random have your info
