Nice one, thanks bud. Yeah, I did wonder there...I kinda don't know why I didn't to be honest.

Yes, this is fine. He can turn up with QQ and AK also here which he will get it in with every time.

Good start, ran extremely hot for a 100 hand session and won 250PTBB. Only 100 hands because dinner was cooking, but it's always nice to have AA, AA and KK on three tables out of four (like I said, EXTREMELY hot).

Just had a 1K break-even session, pretty happy with how I played again though. Got QQ AI PF against AA, wasn't a great spot and couldn't do much else. :/ I opened QQ from MP and got 3bet from BTN, I don't want to play this OOP and decided to be more aggro - once I 4bet I feel I'm committed and had to call the rest off even though I knew I was almost certainly beat. He actually never shoved which is normally a huge tell it's AA - since I basically knew I was definitely up against AA should I fold to the 5bet or just go with it?

Seem to be having this huge problem with AK - I don't like getting it in pre but obviously taking a flop never bodes that well as you can never stack an opponent (unless they are playing dominated hands; e.g. AQ) because they'll just fold to overpairs on the flop. One example was I called a 3bet IP with AK. Flop comes A K K - I get a cbet and that was it; now if I had go it in pre I get a BI for this. One of the main reasons I don't like getting it in pre is the amount of nits in zoom at the moment.

Only one thing puts me on mega tilt on zoom and it's those ridiculous tiny bets - everyone is doing them now and it just tilts me so much for some reason. Board is like A 6 8 r and they put in a 1/3 pot bet - it's just like oh well done you've either got Ace rag or a PP greater than 88. Only reason they annoy me is because I peel far too much because of them with PPs then always have to give up on the turn.

People seem to be checking back the turn with TP as well a massive amount of the time.

This is in a $1.50 Stars turbo sit n go. Villain was min-raising pre every single hand pretty much. Thought I'd try to outplay him, since I knew his range was enormous.

    Oh, and congrats Nismo!!!

(though I'm still mad about that 7-stud hand! GRRR!!! In the Fish Fry, Nismo jammed Q7632 rainbow in the 7-Stud hi against my AKQJJ with a royal flush draw and runner runnered 45 for the backdoor gutshot! He thought it was still Razz )

Firstly, congrats Nismo (from me and my r33 ) hoe you rock the Open.

Secondly, in for the first time with a few goals for this month.

    Current Stars BR = $350

    [] 30000 Hands of 6-Max NL Zoom
[] Build Stars roll to $750
[] Take a shot at 25NL when BR goal met
    [] Buy Omaha Manager
    [] 5k hands of $2 6-Max Zoom PLO
    [] Break even at PLO

I have tried to stay away from PLO after previous bad experiences with it but playing some zoom the last week when I can't sleep I think I am starting to understand some of the underlying theory so figure taking baby steps into that world could benefit me in the long run.

In terms of my hand and BR goal, I have been conservative with it (eg I played over 30k hands in 2 weeks after zoom launched) but since I really would like to hit 25NL at the end of this month I'll likely be more conservative with my playing and cut out on sessions when I have made a few buy-ins rather than keep playing for a specific number of hands and risk donking off the stacks (this is important as I do have a habit of suffering winners tilt).

I've determined the best way to win at stars is to not know what game you are playing.

That way you'll make opposite moves, get it in bad and naturally deliver bad beats cos its stars. ez game

Your play was highly deceptive, jamming away with 267 rainbow showing. Not the scariest 7-stud board! But if I'd known you had a backdoor gutshot draw, I would have folded, since Stars is Stars, and with a backdoor draw you have about 94% equity.

I've been undervaluing my runner-runner draws at Stars, and I need to start playing them more aggressively.

I'm in a bit of a better place today, a bit less life tilted. Still started off the session spewing a buy in on a bit of a bad play, that always annoys me. I did run better in 3bet pots and was playing a little looser pre-flop which seems to be favouring me so far. Still a bit of run bad in some places and timed out pre-flop in a big pot. I just wonder what would have been. I'm still happy to book a win for now.

Nice starting hand for me, position sucks though. I flopped the nuts and decided to take the lead hoping to get it in. I didn't love turn just because JT now ahead + another draw but decided I had to call off as I could chop and win in numerous ways.

Standard run good with aces I wasn't sure if I should 3bet as they weren't great but figured as I had position it was somewhat acceptable. So annoying that if QJ98 would have folded i'd have won.

This table was crazy. BB was playing like a fish and 3betting all his reasonable pocket pairs with crap side cards. I made a bit of a fishy call pre but the BB was deep so decided it could be worthwhile. Flopped top set and got it in. Turn was so nasty, this was a pot I really wanted to win considering the size.

Stupid ipoker! I wasn't even playing that many tables, maybe just looking at one of them and I timed out. I'd have played this hand and who knows if the AAxx villain would have stacked off on the flop. (I have QJJT which i'd always play)

I've played a bit with this villain at the ring games and HU. Not a bad player, but does like to 3bet quite a bit. I opened a bit lighter than usual and called the 3bet in position. I hit as good a flop as I could hope for. Turns out I wasn't in that great shape and needed a bit of run good
