I'll join in this month. Playing Party 2FRNL at the moment, but currently have no way to deposit so I'm still playing on a free bankroll that I'm struggling to clear. Currently playing at 7ptbb/100 over 15k hands with a $50 bankroll (this should be higher but I took a while to realise I suck at ICM), but due to no depositing am being a bankroll nit. Have no desire to ever withdraw at the moment. I feel I have a good grasp of the theory but sometimes 'forget' to apply it. Goals for the month:

[ ] Get up to $80 and be playing 4NL
[ ] Be comfortable and able to think clearly whilst 5- and 6-tabling
[ ] Post more in uNL, having been a little scared to in the past, especially in threads from higher limits
[ ] 15k hands
[ ] Don't play SNGs

Had another losing session, lost just under 2BI; was up 2BI at one point as well - should just quit while I'm up for now as I basically keep playing until I lose which is not good. Got a lot of grinding to do to get back to where I was; now my graph is a complete trainwreck!

The games are so nitty now it just tilts me, I get absolutely no action for 2,000 hands when I pick up either KK/AA/QQ then when I do it's never good; I 3bet someone with KK, he 4bet shoves and I'm up against AA. :/

Zoom is brutal!

Managed to win my way into a €220 satellite on wednesday night, to the irish open main event worth €3,500.

Wish me luck.

yh, I do want to be called and called and called with J8o..what I dont want is my opponent to win when they play **** which happened a ****ing LOT yesterday. anyway, I was drunk and tilting. I will do better in future.

Been analysing some of my data to see where I'm going wrong lately - looked at 'Second Action - call' which basically means if I raise and call so essentially calling 3bets. Only got 300 hands on this stat and for 250 I was breakeven but the last 50 I'm getting crushed - lost $60 and my overall w/r for the 300 hands is -226bb/100 so found a flaw I can cut out!

Actually, I don't get this - I then filtered call 3bet and it only gave me 269 hands and I'm only down $20 doing this. I don't imagine I've ever been doing much limp-calling (especially for a loss of $40) so not sure how this is working out - either way I can see that I'm too happy to call 3bet and play fit/fold!

I got my rakeback through for my volume from Thurs - Sunday: £25. I was kind of expecting a bit more than that (maybe double) I started off my session spewing on one hand, but made it back. Then I had set over set with a gutshot redraw which was another buy-in. Everything was ok till I flopped top set in a multi-way pot and lost. Then the tilt came. I went into spew mode + missed some huge draws and was feeling totally fed up with it all. I eventually calmed down after having blown through my profit for the day + most of the rakeback I had just been credited which made me feel even worse. I started playing less spewy post-flop + a bit more loose pre and also ran better. Still down on the session, but up on the day. I always feel stupid tilting off money after the event.

This hand totally confused me. I had KKQQ and got it in with top set. I was playing other tables and couldn't figure out why I wasn't sitting with >100bb. I was looking at the screenshot trying to figure out why I didn't have more and was about to contact support when I realised it was O8 Going to try and get them to remove it from my client. It's not the first time I play O8 without realising.

The hand which put me on monster tilt 65% I have top set.

I decided to call the 3bet with QJT8 partially because I was mega tilted. The flop's huge and i'm getting it all in anyway, massive draw Annoyingly someone had a similar draw to me making me 17% to win and 28% to chop.

Starting to run better. Massive draw even despite going up against top 2. OESD + flush draw + I can make full house to win. 58% for me.

I have AAxx, only reason I really shoved was because I thought it was going all in 3 way and i'd be getting a good price to hit flush. Someone folded and annoyingly villain had 2 of my outs. Turn was really good for me though.

Just had a winning session! Feels so good after so long haha, up 4 BI! Was really happy with my play, I was going into my time bank a lot because I was putting people on ranges etc - think I wasn't doing this enough lately and it definitely helped.

I was stealing a lot more against the regs and 3betting them a lot as I realised I'm up huge when I 3bet (obviously this is mostly because I have AA/KK/QQ when I do this a lot of the time) but the regs at NL5 play 3bet pots without the initiative so badly (me included - big flaw of mine) so unless they 4bet it's easy money as most give up on the flop.

Been a while since I've got such a nice gift:

PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) ZOOM - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BTN): $12.23
SB: $5.00
BB: $7.02
UTG: $5.84
MP: $3.23
CO: $1.65

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has K A

fold, MP raises to $0.15, fold, Hero raises to $0.50, fold, BB calls $0.45, fold

Flop: ($1.17, 2 players) 6 A 6
BB checks, Hero bets $0.70, BB raises to $1.40, Hero raises to $11.73 and is all-in, BB calls $5.12 and is all-in

Turn: ($14.21, 2 players) 5

River: ($14.21, 2 players) K

BB shows 8 8 (Two Pair, Eights and Sixes) (Pre 55%, Flop 8%, Turn 5%)
Hero shows K A (Two Pair, Aces and Kings) (Pre 45%, Flop 92%, Turn 95%)
Hero wins $13.62

Would of had a bigger decision but there's almost no chance he has 66/AA. Was expecting to be splitting the pot tbh but I'm not complaining!

Very weird hand:

PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) ZOOM - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $5.21
SB: $4.85
BB: $2.12
UTG: $4.29
MP: $7.83
Hero (CO): $7.29

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has K K

fold, MP calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.20, fold, SB raises to $0.60, fold, MP calls $0.55, Hero raises to $1.60, SB calls $1.00, MP calls $1.00

Flop: ($4.85, 3 players) K 8 8
SB checks, MP checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($4.85, 3 players) A
SB checks, MP checks, Hero bets $2.00, SB calls $2.00, fold

River: ($8.85, 2 players) 3
SB checks, Hero bets $1.25, fold

Hero wins $8.48

Folding with $1.25 behind. No idea what he could have here - QQ?

I've been 4-tabling Zoom lately and have watched every hand that I folded to data-mine faster. What do you guys think of this?
04-02-2012 , 03:44 PM
I think "lol"?

You don't need to watch the hand to get the HH, so you're actually slowing things down for yourself.
04-02-2012 , 03:44 PM
how are you data mining faster? as far as I understood, if you are in a hand, you get the full HH (click previous hand link, you shulkd see what happened at showdown)
04-02-2012 , 03:46 PM
For zoom poker at the smallest stakes.. do you guys think that its better to play with a $50 or $100 roll ... I plan on 4 tabling.
04-02-2012 , 03:46 PM
100th post. /flex. .. actually 101 post. shieeeet.

Oh I wasn't aware, thanks for the info. Now don't I look silly...

Better to look sillier than you are than to be sillier than you look

For some reason I can't convert my HH so i've put in all that is really required and removed villain and other players names for privacy purposes.

This is at a Zoom table, 11 hands on villain 18/18.

I'm pretty sure, regardless of stats we're stacking here, especially with 100bb effective stats. I just want to make sure that getting it in is fine and just forget it.
