Ok, here is my opinion of making a profit throug playing online poker .
$$$ you win with onlinepoker are very likely to stay $$$ in the online-poker-realm.
You are a winning player (for this is true: we are all winning players at 2+2), you make $$$$, you move up, a) you lose, you move down, b) you make more $$$, eventuelly a little less in %, you work on your game, post at 2+2, have videolessons, and then after a lot more $$$ you move up. And so on. One week you have a really big downswing, you tilt, and most of your bankroll is gone. No problem for you as you are a winning player: you start building up a new bankroll.
Now read the chapter again and again, ... it shows your onlinepokercareer in the future.
Just my 2 cents.

This is a possible scenario but there are many others. Do you really think nobody ever cashes out

Well, i was generalizing.

This is how I see my future onlinepokercareer and I wanted to make it clear to me. But i also think it´s the biography most of us will have.

I´m feeling like a hamster in his (poker)wheel, its my passion, its my need, this is what I want to do for hours and hours, night and day. Will i get somewhere with running in my wheel? noooo. But I keep on running ....

You are defining yourself as a future break-even player? Bummer man.

This is the beginners section. And look at all the threads like: Look at my stats - can i quit my job now? I want to become a pro! Which grinding level is the best to make a living of?
Don´t get me wrong. It´s a very seductive thought to make a living with your hobby. I can´t resist to these thoughts neither sometimes. But think about the average poker player. Very young he is. It´s even more seductive to him.
So even if its possible to make a living of poker, it´s even more possible to put $$$ into the game, and never really get (regularly) $$$ out of it.
I just want to see the realistic side of it.
I like this thread:

Tilting away most of your bankroll isn't good. Don't do that.

Being a winning player should mean that you should be able to control your tilting and keep it at minimum anyway.

Being a winning player means you consistently make money at the game

I think a good way to avoid that is just cashing out at regular intervals. Of course it slows down your BR increase, but at the end, it s more time for you to learn before moving up, and even in the case where you tilt completely , you already withdrew money.

Hmmm... sounds pretty dismal and hopeless to me. You should get out for some fresh air every once in a while, before you burn out.

I didn´t mention how hot it is, did I?
