I made accounts on both sites, which I did mainly to get credits for HEM2. I got my credits while building a decent roll on both sites. I want to cash out on one site and keep the other one so that I have another site besides Pokerstars to grind on, but I'm not sure which one to keep.

How come? Stars is by far the biggest site, wouldn't it make sense to grind where the most players are?

Not if your winrate is 0.5bb/100 at Party and 5bb/100 at 888, or vice versa. How do your winrates compare and which site do you prefer playing?

NB This is an entirely subjective issue apart from the first of those questions. The answer is also likely to mean you'd be better off doing exactly what sixfour says. Why grind 16 tables on Stars if you can make more money playing 8 on Party (or whatever)?

I'd say Party just for the sake of the simple VIP system.
Rake 1000$ a month (even just once), buy cash rewards, easy as that. Don't remember what the VIP system was like at 888, but VIP systems are always tough for micro players.
If you can rake 1000$ I think you can get more value at Party.
Both sites have similar traffic.

For nanostakes/Bronze players, it might actually be the worst in the entire industry. The "rewards" are virtually non-existent.

But if OP's winrate is more than about 2bb/100 better on 888 than elsewhere, it will likely be the better choice for making money. Much depends on potential hourly earn (if OP can profitably play more tables than 888 allows) and subjective issues as thunderbolts said.
I crushed on 888, but the software and disconnections got too annoying after a while. For most game formats at the micros, however, I'd still place 888 well above Stars in my personal list of faves. I really hated Partypoker, but some people prefer the software there, or find the games just as soft as 888.

Annother alternative option for OP is to cash out from all sites, and try something on Microgaming, or an independent like Unibet, Sky or PKR if those sites are available in his country. Free bonus money might not be much, but it's better than nothing.

Sky is the softest by far, for tournaments at least. I made just under 20k in9 months last year plying very much recreationally, plus n all expense paid trip to the Dominican for the punta Cana classic.

No hugs though.

PKR seems extremely gimmicky, this makes me think it could be the softest site. Am I correct?

I never got round to playing on PKR, but I've heard it's very soft, but very hard to play more than 4 tables. Whether it's as soft as Sky or Unibet is impossible to tell, but the general idea is that any site that is linked to an established sportsbook and/or is geared more towards recreational players (e.g. with anonymity, no HUDs, 3d graphics etc) will have fewer regs and softer games.

Never played on Party, but have played on 888 recently. I can only compare it to Pokerstars, so here we go:

- Rake and rakeback is lol as Arty said.

- Software is tiltingly ugly, I'm old enough to remember when computers used these kind of graphics in their games. The nostalgia does not make up for how gratingly bad it looks.

- It's trivial to stack 10 tables on Star, have auto-seat on and just play. Not so on 888, I find it wearying to play more than 4 tables.

The reason I'm still playing there is that the opposition is significantly worse than Stars.

I looked up the rake on both sites and they appear to have the exact same rake currently

I'm 100% clueless as to how rakeback works and if it's even possible for me to get rakeback off rakeback sites considering i've already made/use accounts, but if it's possible i may potentially give it some weight on my decision lol

On 888 at least, your 'rakeback' is determined by your VIP status. Basically, don't even worry about this until you're raking $750 a month, as the rewards are peanuts before then (and they're not great after either really).

You get a certain number of 'points' per dollar raked, and you can then trade these points for cash bonuses in the reward points second on the 888 poker client.

Unless you're Gold + level though, you'll be lucky to get back $20 a month.

Oh so 888's rakeback comes from the site itself? What about party poker?

Party has paid back rake via a VIP system for as long as I can remember, and I've been playing there on and off since 2004 or earlier.

I wasn't talking about party in perticular. Just that it used to be more common to be able to get third party rb deals and that is no where near as prelevant today.
