Hey everyone!
I am going to attempt to post a hand here and i would like to know if i made the correct decison.

RiverChasers Poker League (freeroll)
NLHE Tounament- level 4
Blinds- 15/30
Stack- 450
Position- SB
My hand: 67o

1 player in LP limps in front of me, i call, BB checks. 3 players. (pot: 90)

flop: 9h 8d ks

I bet 30, BB calls, LP calls. (pot: 180)

Turn: 2c

I bet 30, BB folds, LP calls. (pot: 240)

River: 5d

I bet 120, LP calls- showdown- str8 vs K9o

Did i play that ok? My opponent is a loose passive person and in this type of event it is difficult to put him on a hand. I bet first on the flop to try and get them to fold. I put BB on AJ or AQ and LP on Kx. I want to continue and keep ,my bets small and have pot control because if i checked i didn't want my opponents to make a bigger bet, (which they are certainly capable of doing) so i figured if i bet small everyone will just call and if i make my hand i can bet enough to get value out of them. I understand this type of event is very difficult to assign players a hand range etc etc. I am just doing this because i want to learn and get used to keeping track of the pot and utilizing postion, and to get used to playing with total strangers in tournmants. 1st place gets $100 cash, 2nd $50 gift card, 3rd $15 gift card. I also play these events because i just don't have the money to play in any real money events and i want to stay on top of my skills. what are your thoughts on poker leagues played in bar/resturuants?

this should have been folded preflop. you aren't going to hit and stack someone often enough for this to be profitable.

Fold pre
As played, shove river

Against these villains I think the hand is wp. I wouldn't exactly recommend making a blocking bet in a poker game for real money though.

I played in a free poker league last year...I wouldn't mind it if there wasn't a mandatory tip for the dealers. FFS I thought free literally meant FREE, my bad. Poker is poker...whether it's for free or a $10k buy in. Just make sure you don't play the same way in both tournaments.
