I play Pokerstars which has both 6 player and 9 player sit'n'go tables. Does either one offer any advantage over the the other?

On one of the sites lately I have been playing ONLY 6 max SNG's. Honestly I like them better. They only pay the top 2 & play is more agressive. You can also play MORE of them as the games are obviously shorter. You DO have to adjust your play to them & open up your range more earlier. Give them a try. They are fun & can be very profitable. Good luck.

6 max ones are more aggressive and generally are much shorter than the full ring ones...depends on your style tbh in terms of which you should play...

I like the 9ppl sng cause I usally can play 2 and a cash game or just 1 and read some of the tips on here. 9 ppl pay out more money and I feel like it helps me with my tournament game also because you can treat a tournament like one big sng lol. As crazy as it sounds it does work.

6 handed are massive donkaments imo, 9 handed is less variance (on my records at least) and more money. Most of my experience is in micro stakes though so I dunno about higher up. Is there a section on 6 handed in SnG book from 2+2 (Colin Moshman or something like)?

I would think 6 max would have less variance?

I haven't played a ton of 6 max sngs, but I don't think they're anymore of a 'donkfest' than a 9 seater is.

Like I said this is just my experience, its probably because I only played them when I was just starting online and I was really, really bad and easily tilted...
