I'm surprised that 2+2 has any adverts from "dubious" sources... unless you count UB
It's one of the pictures in the thread... it's linked from a website that google says has been known to install malware. For anyone that has been in the thread...it's the pic that microbob posted on the first page.

I needs IT halp too.

My laptop this morning wouldn't boot, saying it had to check C: drive for consistency, couldn;t skip past it and it got stuck on 1 second. FWIW, it seemed to shut down fine last night.

Managed to get in to windows (7btw) but everytime I reboot it says the same thing, but does go in to windows now.

CHKDSK doesn;t seem to do anything, even when scheduled at start up - just the same as above.

Any ideas?

Also, I noticed these 2 programs:

They seem to be safe from what I've googled and are connected to windows media player, but I don't remember d/ling them. ARe they automatic d/l and are they safe?

No, my anti-virus is going haywire as well. Three trojans were caught and neutralized while browsing 2+2, which doesn't happen with shady ads (that I've ever seen).

Gentlemen, we're under attack!

WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!?

I'm going to laugh if it's not a virus I pick up watching porn that takes down my computer, but instead one from 2+2.

Laugh, and then cry.

You gotta double-bag your computer, LDO.

I like to use a reverse-level when trying to hide my porn...

Thusly, all my porn is located in a folder named "this is all my porn"

I had the same problem with not being able to run checkdisc on an XP machine,I ended up using the Windows CD to boot into the recovery console and then running it from there.

I don't know if you can do the same with Win7 but google will tell you.

Both of those files should be ok as I get the same ones when using Super to convert videos for my Ipod.

Sounds like the disk has been flagged as "Dirty" and CHKDSK is not running to completion to clear the flag.

BartPE FTW in these situations.

They both look good. Probably part of some other D/L.

Thats exactly what it said on a performance scan - Dirty something or other. Can't boot it now to see what it said again.

Ran CHKDSK /R (?) but can't find the results - where do I find these - but CHKDSK /F /R won't work while the hard disk is in use, and just freezes on start up
