How can the sb open when there's a limper? 23/20 gives no indication as to what your 3-betting range is in the bb when there's a limper and the sb raises.

lol thanks for the thread I remember seeing that, and first poster asked depends on what kind of game hero plays, I as just saying in general for any tag player who plays the avg tag game
Well 3betting strats bb v sb vary massively between regs. In general I think someone 3betting 98s IP against a SB raise is just bad (possibly okay if you're 250+ bb deep but I'm not an expert on deep play).

"Polarized" means you have a range made up of strong hands (value-raises, that you're typically trying to get all in with) and weak hands (bluff-raises, where you'd prefer to pick up the dead money without seeing a flop), and you flat call with the hands of medium strength.
If your 3-bet range was solely KK+ and 98s, then it would be very polarized. If your 3-bet range was much wider, and included hands like 99 and KJs as well as 98s and KK+, it's not so polarized.

it is considered to be part of a polarized range in that case right
Hand is WP. 3betting would be spewy and a waste (beyond bad).
I wouldn't go that far to say its beyond bad. You get 2 ways of stealing the pot and if you're called on the flop you can usually peel back another card for free (on the turn). whereas if you just flat you're gonna be facing a bet on the flop like 80%+ of the time and will have to draw the majority of the time. also I don;t think your implied odds are that strong because sb raising range there is fairly wide
