Hi

I have a player that raises 96% preflop from the button heads up. He also calls 100% of 3bets.

Which hand should i incude in my 3betting range? I guess 100% for value and no bluffs since he calls everything.

Since i am OOP i think my equity need to be a little more than 50% since my OOP disadvantage. So here´s the range i have come up with.

Please, correct me if im wrong

44+, A2s+, K5s+, Q8s+, J9s+, A3o+, K8o+, QTo+

Raw equity isn't the most important thing. Something like T9s is going to make much more money than A3o despite having less raw equity. You want preflop hands which make strong postflop hands and/or flop equity at a high frequency. Offsuit single high card type hands are really bad at that. A3o mostly derives it's EV from pre-flop fold equity if you're 3-betting it. It's not really something you are happy to get called and play OOP with.

I'd increase 3-bet sizing a bit if he's always calling. Get more money in preflop at an advantage if he has such large preflop leaks.

that is waaay to wide vs described player, I'd go with something like ATo+, A8s+, all suited broadways, KJo+, 66+

as mentioned above, you might also check your 3bet sizing, described villian might actually be a good player, but you're giving him way too good odds - vs a pot sized 3bet (3bb->9bb or 2bb->6bb) you can call close to 100% 100bb deep hu. Good sizing to start with is pot + 2bb, if he keeps calling you can go even bigger

Did you try different bet sizings to see if his calling range reacts at all?

I doubt he’s still calling 100% if you’re only 3bet sizing is all-in..

This definitely sounds like a much better starting point than the raw equity approach outlined in op.

Is this really true? I have trouble believing you can even defend, say, 70% of your range vs a 3x 3bet given a lot of your opens are hands like Kxo, Qxo, T5o, etc.

Definitely spot on to 3b bigger than 3x though, I think 4x is a pretty good starting point but going even bigger (4.5-5x 3b) is also a reasonable approach from what I know - granted my 100bb hu game is a bit rusty.
