Is it possible to get 222 vpp within today, with a $100 bankroll?

(Without risking too much..)

Going for the SilverStar.. but I'm unsure if the star is worth it or not.

[edit] This is on PokerStars

I dont think the risk reward ratio is worth it. What games do you normally play. Silverstar doesnt give you that much extra value. You could find yourself wasting more money trying to achieve it than you will gain from getting it

Getting 222FPPs in one day with a $100 roll is basically impossible, luck permitting. There are ways in which it is possible but they basically mean playing games which you are hardly rolled for, or may not even be +EV at (e.g. playing 12 hours of 50/1 LHE, or 2 tables for 6 hours... etc). In any case crazyfool makes a good point. Getting silverstar is essentially a status symbol, and getting 50% extra FPPs for a month isn't going really to make much difference, especially if you're likely to lose money in the process.

Furthermore, if you don't think you will earn silverstar again in July (for August) then there really isn't any point going for it right now. I made this mistake myself recently, and started chasing Silver Star while sacrificing EV by multitabling and playing in a hurry. Don't take big risks when the reward isn't really worth it.

Just play your natural game and the stakes you feel comfortable at. If you ever get silverstar let it be when you are consistently winning at higher stakes; never chase silverstar.

Alright - the SilverStar obviously isn't worth it. I'll just play like I usually do.

I played 5300 hands this morning a NL10 to get 170 VPP for my silver star, I think 222 is attainable if you are willing to put in 12-15 hours or so with a $100 bankroll
