So I started out at the micros a couple years back but grind low-midstakes now, spent some time grinding 10nl 6m last few days to coach a friend and noticed that at party the 10nl rake now is nearly 22bb/100 . Maybe my sample is small (only 2k) so I may have this wrong but if this is true how is anyone possibly beating these games now? (rake excluded ofc). I can imagine that 2nl and 5nl is still beatable with such rake given everyone is terrible but the general 10nl player pool seem to have a decent amt of common sense (relatively speaking) so if these rake numbers are right how is anyone profiting? Is the number wrong due to my sample?

I could look on party' site for the rake structure but Im to lazy too work out the numbers there with cap and everything tbh so just thought I'd ask here.

On a completely unrelated note (not to make 2 threads) do you guys think we should generally be isolating qjo oop vs a btn fish limper or just click it back? This question came up during my sweat the other day and I never really could make heads or tails of this. Obvs player dependent but for example 50/10 fish limps btn, sb completes is qjo strong enough to iso here? prob same ev either way I guess?

2k sample is so small that it's not even worth commenting. Stop being lazy and look at the numbers yourself that they have published for you. If you are too lazy (by your own admission) to look up the easily accessible rake numbers, then you are not going to make it in poker.

I'm actually a full-time player and have been playing for a living for the past 3 years so gg, as for the 2k sample its obvs irrelevant when judging winrate but in my past experiences its usually enough to get a rough rake estimate

I'm not sure how to go about calculating it with the cap and all, im sure i could figure it out but havent slept in 20 hours and Im sure someone here can give me an answer... seems to me you yourself are unsure of this also?

22bb/100 rake seems unbelievable. It would only make sense in a very small sample where you've played a lot of huge pots. Have a look at the actual figures in your tracker when you've got a larger sample. I don't know Party's current rake structure, but I'd expect it to average out at about 10bb/100 or less for most regs.
The game is still beatable, but by no means crushable like it used to be.

I wouldn't iso QJo in the BB. The hands I'd raise there are basically the hands I'd open UTG. i.e. Hands that play well OOP.
