Wagering $Cash before $Bonus ? Wagering $Cash before $Bonus ?

Ocean Online Casino (NJ) has a bonus spin promotion going on. It said 1X wagering requirement, so for the most part, I spin, collect $X.xx and wager that amount on Jacks or Better ($0.10 per spin).

I noticed that my "cash" amount is currently $0.10 and the rest (under $5) is Site Credits (bonus).

I inquired and found that when I wager, they use the "cash" first, before using "bonus". Through online chat, I expressed my disappointment in that procedure.

Is using 'cash' before bonus standard?

I'm talking about the online casino with this question.

Thanks. It wasn't in the TOS, at least anywhere I could find. I've asked for them to point it out, and escalate to a supervisor. That seems dishonest.

Assume that I've got $100 bonus and the wagering requirement to clear is 1X.
I decide to play $5 Jacks or Better. I lose 4 hands, and on my 5th hand win $25. I should have $75 bonus and $25 cash.

The next spin comes out of my cash instead of bonus? That's standard?

If true, my best move is to withdraw the $25 cash, and withdraw any cash after a non-losing hand. Heck, bet $5, win $5 I should withdraw.

When I went to tier match at the actual casino, they gave me some slot dollars.
When at an actual machine, using bonus is always done first. I had no reason to think it would be different online.

Yup, it's always like that, on every site.

I got 10k titan points that worth $100 cash but need to make some vip level and because of work, and due the fact that I'm a MTT player, I can't never reach it. My other option is to get $100 casino bonus, but need to roll it like 10x times, and they take first cash then bonus; so it's not worth it.

Same stuff on 888 and so on.

Thx. So dumb on their part.

I spoke to a supervisor today. It's been a few days since I emailed and online chatted with reps, and asked for it to be escalated.

Although standard in the industry, it was not apparent to me when I looked, or to the supervisor when he looked. The person responsible is on vacation, so it is likely that it's next week before I hear back.

If it's not listed online, I suspect they'll offer to convert the bonus$ into cash$, but not change the cash first, so I'll be essentially stuck in the same spot.

Worth the hassle for a couple of bucks, probably not. Lesson learned for the next time, not yet.

Given the parameters of getting random bonus$ every 4 hours, how best to play it?

Option 1a, I could wager the entire bonus on one spin/draw and then have to deposit $10, then withdraw $10+winnings every 4 hours.

Option 1b, I suppose doing that daily with an accumulated bonus is more feasible than every 4 hours.

Option 2a, collect bonus as long as they run it, then wager the entire thins on one spin/draw.

Option 2b, collect bonus as long as they run it, then wager $10 on an even money or better machine (JoB), deposit and withdraw, repeat daily until the money is gone.

Really the goal is to get some kind bank roll for when they open a poker site. Online casino does not appeal to me if I'm depositing and playing.

Update:

Spoke to the supervisor this week. He said he was going to deposit $20 into my account, that I could play, win and withdraw. Very fair IMHO. Still can't point out anywhere that the cash first, bonus next is listed.

I'm still debating which path to cash is best. I've got $50 plus in credits (including the $20 they deposited).

I suspect I'll hit a slot with that big -EV, but had a potential for a big bonus. One of my buddies plays online slots with bonus bucks and will suggest one.

At a buck a spin, I'll shoot for a $50 or more win, I'll stop. Then deposit $10 and withdraw the win+$10.

I just got a strange feeling that there is other fine print that says if I make a withdrawal, I'll lose the rest of the bonus. I guess I'll check for terms online, and if I don't see anything, then I'll withdraw and take it up with the supervisor again.

Even if I lose the rest of the bonus, I should be able to accumulate more bonus with the spins every 4 hours.

There was some thought to placing single numbers on the roulette wheel, with a 35:1 payout (assumed).

Maybe hitting the craps table to see if I catch a hot roll?

Check out table games with at least a 50:1 bonus bet?
