The answer to this may vary but how many "decks" of cards do the Video BJ machines use and do they "shuffle" them when they switch dealers? I've been using the machines to spin through free play the last couple months and was trying to figure out if the dealer change had some type of significance in that way.

I think it depends on the machine. The large 6 player bj games with the sexy lady dealing actually uses a 6 deck shoe and will flash on the screen when the shuffle happens. I think this is also referenced in the help screens on the game. I believe that the single player bj games shuffle every hand.

Thanks for the replies guys. I figured it may vary, the particular machine I've been playing on is a Playboy Bunny Machine at a casino that still sends me free play but I no longer play at otherwise.

If single deck, shuffled every hand, I should probably play third base as it would probably change some decisions. I think the bootlegger book or mensa blackjack book had a section about playing single deck shuffled every round in their tourney sections. Maybe I'll grab them at the library if I'm nearby this week.
