This is true until you die at the table waiting to get ahead.

Playing against a 1% house edge or even a 0.5% edge, it is not unlikely to start out losing and never get ahead for the rest of your life (even if you live forever).

And yes I realize your post was sarcastic and not serious. I hope.

Re: Really bad luck or rigged? Blackjack

I've played a lot of online BJ (I won't mention the site), and my conclusion is the games switch between rigged and normal modes, and you have to be aware when it has entered a rigged mode. In that mode it is absolutely predictable the dealer will not bust no matter what. You will consistently get 12 - 17, while the dealer shows tens, or, if not tens the dealer will hit miracle cards for 20 or 21. This can go on for over 20 hands. This is something I've have seen so repeatedly I know it to be true, and is distinguishable from runs of luck at land casinos. Lower your betting to the minimum or else go away and come back some hours later. Avoid doubling. You may get a BJ once in a while as a come on to up your bets, but don't fall for it.

Wait till the dealer busts after showing a ten. That is sometimes a sign the rigged period is over and you have a normal chance, but not always. Very often when the dealer busts showing a ten, he will keep busting for a few hands. Then beware for the switch back to corrupt mode after a few hands.

The best strategy is bet small amounts - $2 - 5. If you win the first hand, maybe quit for a few minutes. If you lose a little go slow till you make it back. Then try to get up a few bucks, Then quit and come back later. By going slow like this you can make $80-90 a day, but the problem is the overwhelming temptation is start going for the big money, and that is where you get wiped out.
