My girlfriend hit a royal on those machines two weeks ago and I hit one last week!
My girl friends story will explain the benefit of a 9-6 machine.
She hates all things machine (she is much smarter than me!). She likes to play 2-4-6. Told her she probably needed a comp card to qualify for high hand.
Apparently, they give you some free slot dollars when you sign up for M Life card (or they did that day).
Told her to check. She has $20. She hits a full house as she is playing and gets to last bet, and it came 10-J-Q-K of Diamonds. Hit the ace! If it was 7-5 machine she would have been broke and lost those two spins.
I play a lot more. Haha. Even dump money in the dollar 8-6 triple play at Parx, just cause I like to play. My royal at Borgata, I had K-Q-10 of diamonds.
If you don't care about math, and just want to donk $50-$100 the Wizard of OZ machines in the smoking section to have good payouts when you hit. You don't make a lot during along way, but from my experience, you get big hits. I only play when the 9-6 machines are monopolized by Keno players and want to smoke a cigarette and do something. 40 cent spin resulted in a $40 win and a $150 win. People around me also seemed to lose their $20 or $50 or get a big hit.
