Has anyone ever played live hearts or spades for money? If so, where?

These are both skill games that in my opinion can be profitable, but playing these online isn’t much of an option because online play would make collusion too easy. However, it’d be much harder to collude in a live game.

When I was younger I used to play a game called Puzzle Pirates where you could wager in-game currency in hearts and spades. The hearts payout was usually in relation to everyones’s points. The loser wouldn’t make any money, while the other 3 players split the prize pool proportionate to how many points they had. If players chose, they could also play winner takes all. Spades was always winner takes all.

I know casinos don’t run heart/spades, but I’m curious if anyone has played home hearts/spades for money.

Imagine the money situation would be the same as this game played in Bavaria but how would the rake work like in poker?

I imagine either tournament buy-in style or a points/%rake model.

That, or, if it were a hard solved game (I don't know), you could just upload a perfect bot and let it play anyone at face value and call that the rake since any deviation from it's play would be losing.
