Interesting Craps Question Interesting Craps Question

I was at Fallsview last weekend and intended on hitting the craps tables, but even early in the morning the tables were $10-$15 min bet which was too steep for me. I noticed the video craps tables and their min bet of $5 and decided to play there instead.

Now I was intrigued to find out the 'video' portion was just the act of betting, and that the rolls were actually a result of a live streaming video of the 'Trouble-like' dice roller, not unlike this:

This dice roller was across the casino and people were also playing video craps around it. All the digital craps was synchronized with this one roller.

Anyway, when placing my bets, I could only describe the method of rolling a as a gentle rumbling that tosses the dice around inside their glass dome. In many occasions, the 'roll' began, and the dice simply hopped around on their same face, the final roll not changing in the slightest. In this method I found that certain numbers would roll more frequently (i.e. two 4s back to back, or two 10s back to back). Of course when the dice hit each other they get jumbled back up, but I guess my question is, is this method of rolling dice truly random?

I would assume it's been validated and also probably tracked continuously. Making sure two dice roll randomly doesn't take a very sophisticated analysis.

But for people to make that judgement just from your description isn't possible.
