Counting Cards and Decks Got Pulled

I'm kinda new to counting. two days ago was playing at a table and the TC went from +3 up to around +7 late in the shoe. I had been betting $10 and gradually went to 60 then 90, 120, 200 (table max). essentially the count kept rising and I kept losing so I kept pushing my bets. in between all this nonsense the dealer starts calling the table Max bets out and a floor walks over and camps throughout the rest of the shoe. I end up losing $1100 but after the shoe gets done the floor takes both of the six deck shoes off the table and puts them in a box and walks off with them. it was late and I didn't appreciate the attention so I took off. also this is at my local casino and even though I'm just kinda doing this for some extra potential bucks and challenge I would prefer not to get backed off.
what's the deal with them pulling the cards off like this? I know my betting was at the very least suspect, but are they going back through and checking the count/looking for marks by pulling cards? is this just a normal deal?
I've never seen it done. should I just not mess around with blackjack there for a while?

Nah. They were closing the table most likely. They aren't going to riffle through the cards to find the TC, that's what surveillance is for.

Or they looked for marks on the cards.
