I have several hours worth of 1-2-6 data collected from Indian card craps. Of course it does not directly translate to BJ as only A-6 ranks are used. The data includes 2 1-2-6 machines used in the game, along with suits+ranks.

Any thoughts on publishing this data here for all to comment?

Ok. So I work at a casino and have dealt for probably 1000s of hours now with shuffling machines. The ones at my casino don't have a USB cable (not that I can remember anyway). But I will take a look next time I'm there. And if it did, they would never be plugged into anything during a live game. But, I do know that our player tracking software (bally) does have the capability of tracking dealers hands per hour, we just don't use that feature.

Next. The insides of the machines are really very simple. There is no trickery. No reading devices. It's just rollers and slots. Dealer inserts cards into slot. The shuffling machine will pull the cards into a slot one at a time. Each card gets put into a different slot. The slots are on a freewheel that moves around as cards are brought in. When there are no more cards to go into the machine, the wheel holding the card spins around. As the dealer pulls cards from the machine, it will put in new cards at random. Once hand is finished, put in the cards used for that hand, rinse repeat.

Yes, you do see the funky crazy things. I've had 7 card 21's before. Numerous times. But. I've also had that on a manual shoe. That is blackjack. You will not win long term. VIP's get manual shoes, and they get ****ed over just as bad as a CSM.

The only reasons for us getting them, is to increase turnover, because as I'm sure you all will know. If the casino doesn't have a hand in progress (as in when we are shuffling cards after a shoe) then they won't be making money.

And obviously, to stop card counting.

Game integrity is a huge deal to me, so if I'm supervising and someone asks me whats inside a shuffling machine, I will show them if I have a closed table near by or when we are closing. Once people have seen it up close they tend to realize that it's not rigged, and it's just the game.
