Many new side bets are not included though.

Anyway and as far as we know, in practictal terms most side bets are really vulnerable by playing them as a team, knowing that it's forbidden to use a cell phone at the table but railbirds belonging to a team could.
That's why in many casinos 8-deck shoes are offered cutting off from the play at least two decks, thus erasing any possible player's edge.

To get an idea about how much sophisticated could be a given side bet approach you need to attend certain chinese forums, providing to be able to access them and understanding chinese characters.
(A chinese good friend will help a lot) :-)

Can you explain playing as a team and phones for side bets?

In some live casinos cards are automatically read by the shoe then directly displayed on the screen hand by hand, a thing hugely facilitating the card recording into cell phones kept by "third parties".
Cell phones contain a software that immediately calculate whether players get an edge over the house. Signaling a favourable side bet attack to the seated teammates is a child's play.

Of course the technique works well at crowded tables where multiple bets are allowed per each slot and, more importantly, when the deck is almost entirely played.

Sooner or later those players will be caught for being "too lucky" for long but many jurisdictions will just ban the "fortunate" guessers, it's only the "greedy" factor that counts.

Anyway why to utilize an illegal electronic device at a game where we can win legally?

Re: Baccarat

Players watching could just signal the sitting players by talking in Mandarin/Vietnamese/Indian/Nepali. I hear about 4-5 different languages a shift when dealing bac. Few dealers and especially floor managers speak other languages besides English. At least here.

Baccarat is the only game they don't enforce english only at the table.

Re: Baccarat

At one of the non-tribal local cardrooms, a player bought in for $5,000 and reserved a whole bacc table by himself. With 20 minutes or so he had $18,000 in front of him. Lost about $2,000 then cashed out with a net gain of $11,000!!!

Re: Baccarat

Good.

Once at Wynn high stakes room I'v seen a couple of young asian girls winning $350.000 in less than three shoes played, shoes where Banker side didn't seem to be a possible option to show up.
In response to my "Great job!" one replied: "we''d need ten sessions like that to get our money back".
Probably she was exaggerating but anyway...

On another occasion a "tie afiocionado" got his dream coming true as the shoe he was playing at produced 24 ties.
It seemed it was more likely to catch a tie than a banker or player hand.
Everyone was happy there. The player, the railbirds, the personnel getting huge tips and the casino as this player was and still is a regular at this premise.

Re: Baccarat

If I get time I will provide you the probability of 24+ ties in a 416 card shoe.

The easy way to calculate it is assuming independence and take a binomial distribution for 24+ in 80, but that would obviously not be correct. That number is 1 in 4,214,480.

Quite the opposite IMO. If they are betting that big that they can win
$350,000. Then imagine when they are losing. I've known personally
multiple people who have net losses of over $2 million lifetime in
baccarat so it's really not that difficult to lose big. There is a reason the baccarat corporation can afford to pay up to $30 rake per hand to my local casino Commerce.

Re: Baccarat

With the existing commission structure Commerce corporation makes almost nothing on player/banker. They make their money on dragon/panda/tie.

Yeah, the house edge on those side bets are crazy. And these
players that bet on these side bets tip the dealers insane
amounts. Baccarat dealers getting rich, while these players
who bet the side bets get short term rush and long term pain.

So many of these baccarat dealers have a disgusting sense
of entitlement also. If you don't tip what they consider is
"normal" they give you a bad attitude.

I also heard one dealer talking with the corporation worker
about a player who used to play much bigger. Saying how she used to play much bigger and every hand, and how she must have been cut off by her boyfriend, and then laughing about it. Absolute zero gratitude for the past tips that this player undoubtedly gave him. Sick.

Re: Baccarat

________

in the 90s I had a friend who wasn't a high roller but he was a high roller wannabee
he got to know the bacc dealers in the hi limit area and they let him hang around and watch
he told me - and I believe him - that there was this Asian whale - in A.C. - he bought in for 3 million and he started winning
he ran it up to 8 million - my friend asked him if he could borrow a million
then he lost it all and more and left the table broke - or at least he stopped playing for the session

.
