I found the r/nopoo subreddit, read some stories there, and since I wasn't working I had time to experiment if it ended up not working out. Some of the stories said it might take up to three weeks before seeing any results but it only took me two.

Did you have any scalp or hair issues that got better, or is it just that you got rid of something you didn't need?

I don't remember having any scalp issues back then, other than some dandruff here and there, but since stopping the use of shampoo I haven't had a single problem with my hair or scalp.

My initial reasoning to start was to save money but I was also interested in the possibility of not having greasy hair 20 hours after I showered.

Huh, didn't the guy in that video use some kind of soap? I watched it a long time ago, didn't rewatch. When I had a scalp acne problem for awhile when younger I cut my hair extremely short and used special soap instead of shampoo. I would think using nothing but water would leave it greasy though.

youre spending too much time reading up on alternative medicine and pseudoscience from people with fine arts degrees on reddit.

I'm on board. Kinda.

I have a very bad scalp and several times a week i use a shampoo for that. But it's this special shampoo made of various oils and stuff. For some reason marketed to black people, though it's really helped my white scalp.

I was using regular shampoo on the other days but stopped. I feel like it's slightly better but, at worst it's the same and I'm saving some money.

At least in the US, most white people have the problem that their hair gets greasy, necessitating something to wash off the dirty grease, and usually soap is needed.
Most black people have the opposite problem - their hair and scalp get too dry, which is why hair oils are marketed to them. But of course there is variance within the races, and if you have a problem with dry hair and scalp, those products likely will help your issue.

When it gets this long, you've got to use some shampoo. I use some hippy **** though (the brand is Sukin). I follow that with conditioner.

I don't shampoo every day, but probably at least twice a week.

Are you looking forward to keep on your path of not using modern products? Like forbidding the soap and not washing your dick for a decade, which would be a benefit for the humankind.

I donĀ’t think your point is completely invalid, thereĀ’s a metric ton of brands of shampoos that are super harsh for the hair.

Im sure that if you look around seriously enough, you can find some sort of something that is gentle and kind to the hair while bringing multiple benefits of health and vitality to the hair, which makes you a dumbass.

Purposefully and being proud of not washing your hair to go to work is passive-aggressive as ****… does it gives you a false sense of superiority? So you can avoid your deep seated feelings of shame and worthlessness? Your resentment towards society at large is so unprovoked. Just go hurt your parents, not random people. Im sure they have more to do with your ****ed up self than the random lady at the store.
