Hopefully she gets a good lawyer. There is plenty to shoot for.

the casino puts up a large portion of the money in most instances. the people running the show are are a independent contractor that can be separated from and the show will get a new production company from the casino. the casino generally wants this stuff at arms length so they cant put their license at risk though cheating or money laundering scandals that might be caught on film. i have no specific info on the HCL deal.

no clue but, sometimes they end up dealing a cushy ILLEGAL private game making over $100 an hour and it keeps things quiet.

Maybe I misunderstood but I thought Ryan basically came up with the money to buy all the video/sound/equipment and finance show production. It's like DGAF's arrangement with Lucky Lady - the casino supplies a room and dealers but show production is DGAF Live's problem. That production upgrade is what I'd thought Nick might have financed. But what do I know - not much

I should have said this before, but years ago I listened to your pods and I learned about being a real pro. Never been a poker beast but ideas like "diversifying your gambling portfolio" planted seeds that would one day sprout into a much better life.

I do have a question. Do you think HCL really makes/made much money and, if so, how?

shows dont make money off the you tube income or lame on stream adds like people think, they make money by putting asses in seats at the casino. one million you tube views pays like $5000. its pennies. the casino gives HCL a cut of the rake while the show is on, some deal like that, and im sure its pretty lucrative but not amazing money. people who run these shows have a to of access to whales and can steer them to online sports books, private games and app games they run, thats where the BIG money is.

take a show like live at the commerce, where everyone is operating above board, no one is making ****. everyone is losing money on that. i could use that vehicle to make a mountain like i did with LATB "side projects" but you have to have an OPEN mind. lol.

the airport is basically in the ghetto, theres nothing "romantic" around there. the nearest beach is dockwieler which is only 3 miles away and the best restaurant is Jame (very good middle priced italian). thats your best bet for quick, cheap and romantic.

everything i do in hawaii is super expensive so no help there. splurge for this:https://www.fourseasons.com/hualalai/

The 2+2 post, not the event itself. I still remember this. I used to love watching Cate and Cyrus. Cyrus still posts occasionally on social media, so I keep up with him a little.

Don't watch much poker live poker. But gotta say Limon you're entertaining as f**k man. Like a great guy to party with as well. I need more guys like you at my local casino. I'd play hellva lot more live poker that's for sure. Here I get stuck with douchebags/fake tough guys like Nick.V(pencil dick), boring as dirt cranky old fellas and young drunk jerkoffs who think they're tough. Overall just makes for a shitty time and night out. Where that there looks like a fun table.

Cheers!!!

Hi Limon. I’ve started golfing again 2 months ago for the first time in over 10 years and now am hooked. I’m about your age. Above average athletic ability. Grew up on a country club so played some golf as a kid, but never took it seriously. I was into the more active sports like basketball and soccer. Averaged 99 over my 12 rounds so far with 89 as my best and 115 as my worst. When I played more consistently 20 years ago I’d shoot 87-94.

When, if ever, do I get new clubs? I’m using the ones I bought used in ‘08 (they’re from ‘02-03). Thanks.

you don't need new clubs but you do need clubs that were made after the USGA capped all new tech advances on MOI and spring effect etc etc. prob want clubs from at least 2020. you cant beat this setup for cheap:

Was just at the range and now the head of my driver rattles like a baby rattle. Obviously there’s something loose in there. Ever experience this before and if so what do I do? (I really don’t want to buy anything if I don’t have to, especially with only 1 round left before the season is done.)

@TheBigEasy. With Black Friday sales coming soon would seem like the perfect time to buy. Specially with the season ending maybe even get a better deal. Idk maybe just me being too thrifty a shopper.

Cheers!!!

Thanks for the advice! But I more than likely will buy used, not new. I assume most BlackFriday sales are on new clubs. (The driver with the rattle worked yesterday without snapping in half!)

Fair point on buying used vs new and BF sales. On the bright side guess you got all winter then to shop for some clubs in that case. Unless you live somewhere you can golf at year round. No reason not to take your time and get exactly what you want. Good luck shopping.

Found my current model driver for $70 at a used golf shop. Just gonna buy it and (hopefully) worry about getting different clubs at the end of next year.
