The only people who gas this loser up seem to be very old accounts and spam posters that see similarities with this bozo. Guy is in his 50s flexing making a mil without having kids. You can do that working at a construction site in quicker time.

Personally I think the guys (mostly younger) who don't realize poker is a soft hustle and waste years on end buried in solvers,many playing staked backed etc that have nothing to show for it at the end are the losers. I mean don't get me wrong I'm sure the can tell you the optimal 3 betting frequency with 97s in the cutoff in 100 bb 6 max nl which isn't worth dick in the real world.

I'll give you a hint about the old accounts - they know who he is and how long he's been successful at it.

i never play poker HU its too intense/hard work. i like full ring and spend most of my time resting lol. ive played in country club games and celebrity type home games. fun stuff. I like dealer call it for stakes that matter but wont hurt anyone, like a 2k average stack game. any game is good as long as no one is obviously working. people who are obviously working ruin everything.

pro poker isn't very productive, and it can get very predatory but its 0% immoral. its no different than owning/operating a casino. adults have free will and free choice and should be able to spend their entertainment dollars however they want. banning gambling is immoral.

Usually when people talk so negatively about their job they harbor resentment towards it. Is there a chance that you are resentful that you never were truly elite at any game? Or mad that you (maybe - or perhaps just didn’t care to) didn’t have what it takes to get to the top? It’s not like all poker is taking easy money from degenerates, you could choose to play against equally smart and talented players online at high stakes, or go try to play in Bobby’s room etc etc. did you ever want to push yourself and go that route?

If you were a high stakes fish or even whale why would you want to play in public games especially NL? You're getting nothing in return for your money. You're just gonna get torn to shreds at a table full of (mostly) anti social high stakes pros. Most high stakes pros have no idea how to interact with the type of rich successful degens than punt in these games.

In private games they can largely play with people they enjoy playing with, in a fun crazy atmosphere with some truly outrageous stuff going on.

This is no great mystery.

The only real benefit to a losing high stakes player to playing in a casino is the game is more secure.

I played the 20/40nl quite a few times at the commerce and games were largely friendly, fun, and raucous outside of a few Spanish guys who were unbelievably bad for the game. Vegas too. I would say you’re completely wrong about high stakes pros, most of them are great with recs. This was years ago, maybe it’s changed?

I think whales and “rich successful degens” still would like the idea of going to a casino to play. The competitive aspect of it is a huge draw; can’t imagine that you would get the same from playing in a lineup where you hand pick who you play.

it's changed a TON of over the years. there are way less people in general willing to lose that kind of money in poker these days, even most bad players has tightened up etc. The last bad players to go around the more parasitic people become. Additionally most young guys who play high stakes these days learned mass multi tabling online, learn through solvers etc and never learned any of the social skills that are important to facilitate fun live games.

While there are some players who really do like the competition, battle of wits etc most just like to gamble, drink, shoot the **** and if they're in a private game perhaps a topless massage and more.

I stand by my statement- most high stakes pros are atrocious with rec players, And Vegas pros yeesh.
