Have you ever been connected at all to the East Coast scene? Have you ever dealt with old (ish) school people here like Joe Black or Liz and such? Maybe we splashed around in 10/25 back in the day? Remember when Ivy was sleeping under the boardwalk?

I like what you've done for yourself in the scene. Kudos to you. I certainly don't agree with everything you say and I might not even like you in person, but I have to respect the fact that we all know your name, and you're not some busto loser or cheating scumbag who owes everyone and every game. You are a degen role model.

Not doxxng myself or disclosing my worth, but I've also never been pinched, and tried to be more of the house than the grinder. Good for you, man. I've followed you for a long time.

I'm a whiskey guy but my wine vice is strictly Italian. I'll put a $150 amarone against any red you've discussed. Ever venture into Italian wines? ETA: $30 Primitivo from Puglia is the nut daily red.

Also I've been held up at gunpoint mid game. Have you ever had to deal with something like that?

Ivey is well on his way to sleeping under the boardwalk again. I can see him out there with his old homies: "Man, you aren't going to believe this story."

I got thrown out of the borgata like 20 years ago for acting like Andrew dice clay at the table and never stopping. Never been back since.

California wines destroy as European wines. In California primitivo is called Zinfandel and it is much better quality (from a producer like Dusi).

I stay away from sketchy private games. Zero reason not to play live poker in a safe regulated card room. Best action and best security.

agree but a lot of us needed to stay close to family and had to play partly unregulated games (NYC) if we did not want to travel 2.5 hours south . also some of us (were illegal) for many years so did not want to get deported cause a w2g etc

Thanks for the reply, big fan, you're certifiable thinking Cali competes with Europe in wine. To each his own.

Sorry, that was reactionary and not nice. I respectfully disagree, And did know primativo=zinfandel.

One question though: you want to be the house but want the embrace of the secure casino. Aside from some unique situations where you got something going with a casino, how did you accomplish this?

What types of wine do you like Low? I don't think it's crazy to say Cali wine is better, but there's obviously great wines from both regions. I've been buying more Bordeaux blends lately but before that I was mostly a Cali cab guy

Changing the topic so as not to monopolize the thread with wine, what's your opinion on massages at the table? I learned about 5 minutes ago that some people find it gross or inappropriate. (or even eXpLoItInG tHe pOoR gIrL)
I'm truly shocked to learn about this, and it's one of my favorite things in the world to play poker, sip a single malt, and get a massage.

A few years back you were advocating something called "Infinite Stacks." What the heck does that mean?

im 100% fine with it. ive never had a massage in my life but i wouldn't begrudge anyone else the right to do it. i dont see how anyone is being exploited in a voluntary business deal between two consenting adults.

nick vertucci is a genie, but instead of rubbing a lamp, you need to rub him for 20 minutes just like the ones he receives while playing poker

standard rules apply, you can't wish for more wishes etc

you also can't wish to access your wishes without giving him a rub down

what do you wish for?

Those Vertucci beard rubs during the game are absolutely vomitous.

on purpose or by happenstance

if on purpose, did she just take initiative or was it requested, if she took initiative did she ask first?

Fine, temporary derail, apologies to Limon. (This was not in a casino.) She was one of those girls who liked popping pimples. (If you've met one, you know what I mean.) She kept asking and I said no a few times, then acquiesced. After about 10-20 minutes of me drinking, playing, and ignoring the sting, the guy next to me was like WTF ARE YOU DOING, so I turn around and see a pile of bloody napkins and some hand sanitizer. The whole room ended up staring at me in disgust/horror, and all I could do was ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . We went back to shoulder rubs after some hand sanitizer and a napkin bandage. Total wife material. Took down 2k that night if I remember correctly. Wasn't invited back...
