Can you elaborate why this has such a big effect on a games profitability? I'm particularly interested on why you think playing soft vs each other has such a big impact on the profitability aspect.
The games in my area are infested with people checking it down / not bluffing each other (mostly in HU spots, but even multiway). It always bothers me to see it, but I could never tell if it really affects my profitability. Sure, they avoid part of the negative swings they would have to endure. But at the same time they forego all the EV they could pick up by bluffing each other.
