2. underground cash games are BORN DEAD. they rake 4bb a hand on the low end. the games are 100% unbeatable unless you have a deal with the host which is a deal with the devil .

I'm playing 25nl and 50nl now and rising. I'm going to start dabbling in tournaments and even some Omaha. Taking a 1/2 live shot soon. If there was one additional method of gambling today that's worth it for me to learn, what would you say it would be?

I've played a little blackjack in the past and there's just mountains of learning content online. Never did much with horses or sports but like and am interested in both, including golf. Like roulette (a lot) but know that's out of the picture, as is craps. Thought I'd ask here since there's so much experience in the thread.

I never really saw any point to underground games. Just makes more sense for me to play online and go to a casino if I want to play live. I'm not a guy with any friends in this realm. I would be totally uncomfortable showing up to a private game by myself lol. A few times, locally, I've heard guys start talking about underground games they play in the area and I never even perked my head up, you know?

What are your thoughts on religion?

When I started playing seriously there were only underground games at least for pl/nl stakes, except during WSOP and other big tourney events, and it stayed that way until the boom. But you could still make good money in those games because the "producers" also didn't have other big game options. The last live private game I played in (during covid) was 5-10-20 uncapped with no rake, just expected to tip the dealer generously. Don't find many of those though.

Seriously, though ... try sports betting. Wager with some place that you know will pay if you win and cash out. (Do not bet with some bookie. regardless of pretty much wherever you are located, there will be some established live or online opportunity to wager directly with a reputable sportsbook)

prob not that much, im basically retired now, between now and when i never play in a casino anymore ill prob make 500k off poker. give me 400k and im out. ill start my next project a few years early.

You mentioned you had an approximate $6 million net worth. Would you say the majority of that was from strictly playing poker? If not, where did you make most of your money? I believe while DNegs has definitely made millions from playing poker, if you calculate his net worth, the majority of it would have come from sponsership deals or something outside of poker.

You can’t / shouldn’t have much from poker if you’re a cash game player. For that to happen you basically need to be a gambling addict who just buys in bigger and bigger and keeps themselves effectively on a short roll and one terrible run from busto. looking rich a million on the table but it’s your entire roll and you are staked out or swapped out like a bitch. Very unethical and stupid imo.

I’ve made money in the market, real estate and a big score on crypto. Of course all the seed money for those ventures came from “gambling world” income.

I have a fairly good Napa can collection. The stags leap obviously good. I think a lot of your stuff, Especially Jordan, is over rated.
