Bad news James. I did my research and you are a nobody who's only claim to fame is you may have gambled a couple of times with truly famous people. Your lifetime recorded poker winnings are ZERO! You are only a legend in your own mind!

If you went busto in poker what enabled you to retire?

He was a cash player. Recorded tournament winnings don't mean much, because they don't subtract tournament buyins.

Thank you deuce. I was a cash game player for years at middle stakes and probably had something like a 75-80% winning percentage and I'm no frickin' legend. Although for a long time in those games I know many of the other players were not happy to see me join their game. I'll take the money and live the ego trip to someone else like Grimaldi. I prefer to remain as anonymous as possible.

Well, I guess Limon said he was a legend and therefore Grim said he was a legend too. Grim says he was playing 100/200 NL every day, which you can't even play anymore. That is high stakes, not mid stakes. There are zillions of people who used to beat and/or beat mid stakes.

I never heard of either of them before these threads. Limon seems to play part time private games which he organizes, whereas Grim plays part time 1/2.

• Did you try grinding 2/5 NL and eventually found you were losing at that?
• Can't you grind anything or is it better to do something else for a living?
• Did many poker players your generation hurt themselves by not getting education or other career devopment?
• Did you play cash games in Vegas during the Series?
• Did you play NLHE in Bobby's Room?
• Were the biggest NL games at Commerce?
• Were you familar with the big mixed game with Brunson, Reece, Ivey, etc., which still runs during the Series etc.?

I don’t think I’ve seen a 2/5 game in my life that I’m “losing to.”

I like the stress free ways of making money. Poker isn’t exactly stress free. But it is kinda fun.

I know some “balla” dropouts who chose to follow my footsteps to do pro poker and they never returned to education which, yes, in my opinion hurt them in long run regarding not opening as many doors for opportunity and career / income etc.

Never played cash during series. Only been to vegas once. Snuck in underage age 19. Floor guy @ Bellagio asked are you Grimstarr I said lol yeah and he let me play anyways. Pretty sure he knew I was underage.

Never played Bobby’s room. Only played little 25-50 uncapped @ Bellagio. Did ok (got lucky apparently in big pot. Opponent kicked idk) Dumped some back next day @ 10/20.

I only played commerce for like a month straight about 20 years ago. Yea games were great during LAPC and huge. Seen Sammy Farha lose a 250 k to the magician with 69suited hearts lol to Antonio’s JT on 7h8h9x @ 200/400. No idea if those Stakes still run there or not.

Not familiar w big mix games. Doyle grimmed me for $20 once on full tilt. Only time I ever played him. Played a bit w Ivey on full tilt too. He’s good. More legendary than limon and me put together. Mount Rushmore type. No I never played w chip Reese. think he died before I had a bankroll

I love theory of poker but Sklansky min buys in 1/2 plo for 200 bucks,plays one hand an hour and sits out double board bomb pots despite having a massive advantage in them as a short stack.
