How much volume is out there and what is the quality

Thinking about learning 6+ (learning charts, solving and practicing a few boards with GTO+), but I'm a little bit hesitant because of the traffic and also the strength of the player base. Right now on GG there are 15 players at each of the highest stakes. Moreover, I would like to hear of your experience of the players out there, is everybody a specialist in this format, or am I better off sticking with spins where there is a constant torrent of spewy players.
