Have some questions for our coach Coixdog 🤓 Let's see if he can answer those.
  • Let's start with the easiest question. What stakes are you playing and what poker sites do you play on?
  • What is a normal win rate for an average regular playing 6+ on PokerStars with $100 buy-in?
  • How many hands per hour are played in 6+ Hold'em?
  • Am I right in saying that 6+ game with a $100 buy-in is similar to NL500 stake-wise?
  • How many players are marked green 🍏🍏🍏 - those that you've decided to place under a fish category 😁 on average at your stakes?
  • Now a bit more interesting question. For a player who is just starting to learn the game with high hopes of crushing high stakes one day, would you say it's much more lucrative to learn 6+ than any other format?
  • Let's not forget variance 📈📈📉 Is it bigger in comparison to NL?
  • Do you use that feature that allows you to take a portion of an all-in pot according to your EV? It costs something like 0.5% of the pot if I remember correctly. In theory, it should reduce variance, but in practice, it reduces your win rate which increases variance.
  • And the last question will be a rhetorical one. How happy are you that you can grind 6+ with all the fish when most of the super-strong regs play NL, PLO, and don't plan on switching to 6+ any time soon 😂😂😂❓

sounds good
  1. Mostly up to NL500 on both GG and Pokerstars, GG actually has more players now due to 6+ being most popular with Chinese players, and since Pokerstars banned Chinese players, there is more action on GG, tho Pokerstars is still playable, just losing players to GG at the moment
  2. 6+ is a new game and very few people have studied it. Even today, very high win rates are possible, the best regs at nl100 have 20-25bbEV which is much higher than any NLH reg can dream
  3. Hard to say, but a full day of grinding is about 1-2k hands on PokerStars, 3k hands on GG, due to GG being 5handed or less, so you play more hands. so in 1 hour 1 table is maybe 60 hands? not sure
  4. The variance in 6+ is huge, but as I said, you will have a much higher winrate, so if you are running super bad while having 20bbEV+ winrate, you will simply break even instead of losing money
  5. There are more fish compared to other games, but fishregs who make 5bbEV are often easier to play against since they play very obvious and are not interested in improving because they are making money. So there are usually max 1-2 regs at the table that I respect By the way I am happy to see that I am not the only one marking fish with green color, most people use blue color for fish, so I am in the minority but not the only one I see
  6. For sure, as I said, it's very new, so with the right tools and studying you can catch up easier to the best regs, it's not solved publically, like NLH where you can find free charts just by googling. With the bigger winrate you can climb stakes much faster. At NL 50 you can make up to 7k a month if you put in volume, 15k at nl100 and 20k+ at nl200
  7. I guess I answered this already
  8. Good question, while there are some spots in theory where you should do this (For instance you have a fish open shoving every hand 500a deep and cashing out versus your 500a stack, you should cash out so you both keep your big stacks and you can win bigger pots), you should never use this option, I have actually disabled this button when I am playing, there is simply no need to pay the extra rake, 0.5% might not sound like much but at the end of the month that's hundreds of dollars, and the end of the year that's thousands. So if you lose an extra 2.5k a year and you make 5k a month, that means you grinded 2 weeks for nothing
  9. Yea, as an ex spinAndGo player I am very happy I switched while spins are overtaken by stables and regs I was actually close to quitting poker altogether until I found 6+ <3

Yes, in Asia There are some live events sometimes, for instance, there was supposed to be EPT event for 6+ happening in Prague but was cancelled due to covid. I have also heard about live 6+ in Sweden but I'm not sure what the situation now is due to covid

I was playing 6+ online one night while watching it stream on youtube, two different sets of rules. Kinda confusing wouldnt u say that this partly explains its lack of popularity?

Santuzza on twitch plays a lot of HS 6+ and is pretty good, the only problem is that his streams are in russian. there is also 6+ youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNP...Rl-2VyaL4Z9sTQ where I also have made some free hand reviews.

I want to start learning 6+ seriously.
I've played micro stakes HLN and PLO.

https://sixplusholdem.com/
Is it good website to learn from the bottom?

How many tables are you playing simultaneously? I've had something similar back in the day, but I had one 30" display and 22" was rotated 90 degrees.

This was a nice surprise when I played ipoker the first time. Was pretty pissed to myself not checking the rules compared to stars where I mostly played then (gg was no alive then) and punting my stack away and feeling pretty muppet.

looks good, I usually just play on my latop, easier to grind in bed than sit at a table
And as others have suggested, you should put them on a table, very bad for your neck to stare down on the floor while you are grinding

What bankroll management do you guys use?

I use 50BIs at micro stakes. Is it too small? or Is it ok at micro stakes?

swings are big in 6+ but your winrate will also be better so its tough to give an exact answer to this. whatever BR you decide to use, remember that losing 50bi is totally possible, so I would go with 100buyin BR at least
