I tried moving my DB to a google drive folder and it worked well on computer n°1. I tried to do the same with a different computer (computer N°2) and it worked well. I then tried to use the same DB on computer 1 and 2 but got a message like "Can't connect to PostgreSQL server".

Is it possible to share the same DB on 2 computers, in order to use one or the other indifferently ?

If you are sure that the database works on computer 1 and on computer 2 via google drive, then the same database should work on two computers, but NOT simultaneously.

OK, thanks, is it a problem if config are slightly different ? If I fail to set exactly the same parameters on both computers ?

I wonder why it failed to connect to DB. I guess I may have not closed H2N properly on one computer.

HUD/Popups and game type settings should match. Other settings could be different.

We do not recommend using databases on google drive. It should not work. It should be only possible to have 1 database for 2 PCs if you are using remote postgresql. We do not offer any instructions how to setup it. You have to be advanced postgresql user. Best way to import hands everytime from every machine you are playing on. However please do not put Hand2Note archive folder inside google drive or any other cloud storage if you do and you need to sync it. Please keep it turned off while playing and try to sync it after you have done playing. It will help you to avoid lags and freezes .

That was probably my issue : I copied my custom hud from one computer to the other and it works just fine. I have a suggestion for future versions : could all "config" folder location be specified in the database or somewhere ? One could have all "his" H2N auto synced in some cloud (after playing session as you mentioned it).

I still have one small issue though : my custom stats are only editable from the computer on witch I created them on the first place. Same thing for the "auto-popup" that describes what the stat does when hovered in the editor. Where are those info stored ?

Cloud sync will most likely not be added.

This is a custom stat named "test" I just created :

When I hover on it, I get a short notice of what it does :


When I double click or "edit" it, I get the editor :


Now, When I hover stats that I created on a different computer, using the database created by the other computer, the short notice won't appear :

and nothing will happen if I double click it or the"edit" button.

Since the stat works just fine for playing, this is no big issue, I can fix it from the other computer anyway, but I was wondering why it would not work just the same.

You can skip database deletion.

Then please copy/paste Hand2Note config from the computer where that feature is working.

Is there a way to get the whole config in one place ? Or do you mean a screenshot per config tab ?

We mean you can copy your config folder and past it to another PC.

But the weird thing is that when I set the path to the new database with my fresh H2N install, I had all the stats fine, but I had no more session stored (those you see pressing F4)... I played a small session and it was recorded OK, but all previous sessions were lost. Why is that ?

Can you take screenshot to clarify the issue?

Not really : it then crashed for good not being able to connect to DB anymore. I re installed once again and gave up mutual DB.
