Building stats on very large databases - what is the bottleneck?

Hello,
I recently purchased a new PC to run Hand2Note. It has a powerful 16 core AMD processor and very fast SSDs. However, it only has 16 GB of RAM.
I am wondering if RAM can be a bottleneck for building stats on very large databases. I will be building 100 or so stats on a single popup at a time, over tens of millions of hands.
Do the stats get built in memory? Do I risk running out of RAM and causing the stat build to fail with 16GB?

The bottleneck here is unfortunately the current version of Hand2Note which doesn't handle large databases very well regardless of your system configuration. It's recommended to import hands and build stats in small portions to avoid overloading and freezing the software. It's a known issue and it will be fully reworked in Hand2Note 4.
As for system requirements, yes, during stat building H2N uses RAM mostly, but 16Gb should be fine. However another issue to point out, the current version of H2N is not optimized for multi-threaded workload, therefore Ryzen CPUs with high core count won't perform to the full spec.

Will H2N 4 also have better optimization for multi-threading and be able to take advantage of Ryzen CPU’s?
Can i get H2N4 with my current license which I just recently purchased?

Yes and yes. H2N 4 will also have better optimization for multi-threading and you could use your H2N license for H2N 4.
