Hello everyone -

I am leaving today for an extended holiday (for some hiking and motorbike touring) and will be gone for about two and a half weeks. I am letting you know so you don't think I'm ignoring your issue if you don't see anything posted by me for a while.

In the meantime, other staff members will be monitoring the thread, so please do post if you have issues, ideas or suggestions. The staff members may or may not post, depending on the issue, or they may contact individuals through PM. I might even chime in once or twice, if I get on the grid and can answer a question without needing research.

When I get back I'll go through the prior two weeks of posts to see if there are any that need further action / response - although, as was the case the last time I was away, many of you have been quite helpful in answering each others' questions before I get to them. Many thanks for that!

And, as always, for any issues or problems you are having with the software, contact Support@pokerstars.com, and send them log files through Help > Log Files. When you do, please provide as much detail as you can, along with your client build number (Help > About PokerStars).

Imo the lobby design of Zoom cash should be of the same design of Spins where you can not see who is currently playing but only the number of entries.

Enjoy your Holiday Keith!
The good regulars names would also be visible in the lobby. Any regs good or bad would get randomnly sat vs each other, too. Viewers could see the overall quality of the pool but they would be randomnly sat vs the entire pool. This is different to SpinNGo which does not maintain a pre-started pool. Because Spin&Go's start immediately the so-called random queue is easily mainipulated for collusion (both colluding to sit recreational players & collusion to not sit regulars) so the existing Spin&Go lobby has big problems.

When an SNG tournament ends and you select the option to register to another one, if you are already registered (assuming only one spawns at a time) a pop-up says "registration is closed." This message is not accurate, and should instead reflect the fact that you are already registered.

Have a great hols Keith.

There have been a number of posts about how mass-tablers slow the game. The slowness is not from Pokerstars perspective (more bums on seats = more rake) but from the perspective of the player with just one or two tables opened. It only takes a few minutes after sitting at a table to realize I am surrounded by an unhealthy number of these mass-tablers, each and every one of them taking 10-15 seconds (if I'm lucky) on every street. From their perspective this is almost like playing Zoom, fast and furious! From my perspective it is exactly like getting a root canal.

Pokerstars can insert cute little icons on a players position at the table indicating VIP status, muted and that they have earned 1 mirrion thingiemabobs. How about creating another icon (I reckon there are still 2 corners left on their image that can be used) that shows if they are seated at more than, say, 6 tables. And have this show up in the lobby so I can identify these good folks, avoid them, and actually enjoy playing a little poker.

They do measure how long people take to act (some people get their max amount of tables increased above 24 if they're quick enough). How about simply running a script once a month and start limiting the biggest offenders? Focus on time taken to fold preflop facing no previous action, it's fine if people want to think when considering/facing a 3bet but taking 15 seconds to fold 94o utg is way out of line.

I am really annoyed by people taking forever to fold their 72o, too! I play Zoom to try to avoid these slow players but lately Zoom is slowing up, too.

But I don't think another icon will work because Pokerstars would probably give players the ability to turn its display off for privacy reasons just as they let players turn off their VIP status display.

Instead I favour a dramatically shortened timebank. The average decision doesn't take much time because it is fold or call like 80%+ of the time. Players should be forced to decide quickly on their average decsions to save up time for tough decsions instead of having the luxury fo taking forever on every decision.

If there is a possibility of adding Spin&Go tickets to the Vip Store ?

add spin and goes for plo and O8 ... why have they not been added yet ? I dont get why this format should only be for holdem. holdem is imo the game that needs it the least.

Do balance amounts over $1000 show up as 1k or exact number in the new pokerstars lobby? I need to know this for the software that i'm developing.

Hi Keith,

I really like the idea of giving x amount of hands per blind level in HU Hypers and also maybe capping the blind levels at 20/40 allowing for more gameplay.

Thanks for considering this

A few times I've been all in and the freezing state actually results in me folding (when I'm back I'm sitting out).

This happens on both PS.Eu and PS.fr and it's probably not a problem on my side, since other sites (and i think even tables on the actual PS site) is running without problems at the side.

Anyone else?
Bumping this in hopes someone else have had the same problem or heard of it? (and possible solution)

well it sounds similar to what everybody is experiencing on sundays. are you sure its random and not occuring periodically when new tournaments are launched?

(just read the bit about .eu and .fr, my lag is on .com and never touched those sites so nvm)

yeah the sunday freezing is starting to really tilt me. it's been going on for months now. given them lots of time to sort out their server/traffic issues

Today it was worse than what I can remember. It was lagging for hours during peak time. Soooo tilting.

I like the idea of fixing the number of hands per blind level. Otherwise players who believe their shove game is better than their postflop game deliberately slow down the game to try to wait out the blind levels. Slow play is ZZZZZZZZZ.

I do not like the idea of capping the blind levels. Go play cash if you don't want blinds to rise ever.

Are you sure we are talking about the same kind of lag?

As I said, only some of my tables totally freezes for 15+ seconds, and only whenever I bet/raise (never call/fold - (I'm pretty sure of this)). Meanwhile other sites and tables runs flawlessly.

For example, I'm sure it happened in the SM and The Big 55 yesterday.

Same?

I definitely had the same problem in The Bigger 22 and The Bigger 55 yesterday.

when the lag happens it happens to all of my tournaments (they all freeze for some period of time). not sure what is setting it off, but it usually happens when traffic is high

Happy tables for two tables max players, similar to party style. If not, i recommend other sites, leaving stars for mass multitabling grinders to have fun with each other.

Why two tables rather than one?
