Please redesign tournament lobbies. They are convoluted now. It took me a full 30 seconds to find the Observe button. And this may sound like a silly thing, but the register button needs to be somewhere above or below the clock ("starts in 3 min", etc.) It doesn't have to be right next to it. The old lobbies were fine, with the clock at the top and register at the bottom. This way, you can have just a slice of the window visible on the side of your tables and keep up with when the tourney is starting (Huge for satellite players.) Right now you have to have the whole tournament lobby in view to see if you're registered and when it starts. This takes up too much screen space, unless you have room at the top of your monitor, which is unlikely.

Whoever designed Pokerstars 7 should be fired immediately. Also, the LAG and speed of this is horrible. Pokerstars really turned back the clock 10 years in this. It is BAD

This problem with .com / .eu links has been on the site since .eu was launched. I already reported it right away back then, and gave you a simple configuration change in your web server configuration that fixes it.

It is nice though that you are still looking at it after all these years. Real low-priority I guess.

=============

Hopefully, these updates will resolve most of the remaining issues some players were experiencing recently.

However, if anyone is still experiencing lag effects after upgrading to the latest client, we would like to get your log files along with as much of a description of the lag as you can provide to help our investigators to reproduce what you are seeing.

Our investigators would like to have the following information (this has been very difficult to reproduce on our end, so this will help us set up similar environments to what you have):

- Client version (Help > About PokerStars – 4 digit build number)
- Computer specs (CPU, Memory, OS, Service Pack)
- Third-party tools (vendor, version, type)
- Type of games / tournaments
- Number of games per day
- Multi-tabling (yes/no, if yes how many?)
- Reproduction steps (if specific sequence or situation is needed to experience lag)

If you have screenshots, please send to Support@PokerStars.com along with above details and a zip of your log files.

And thank you for your assistance in helping us get to the bottom of these issues.

First post in a long time, but I gotta say that PS7 is a dissapointment. To start with, where the hell is the logout function? Atm, the only way I can close the client is with the ubiquitous Windows "X" in top of the window or using the Task Manager. Task manager kills the client instant, but clicking the "X" it takes 20-30 seconds for PS7 to close. This is on an i7-3770k, 16Gb RAM and an SSD.

Welcome to PS7. Well according to them if you're connection is bad you cannot exit Pokerstars normally. That has happened with me so many times and is so ***** annoying, and if you contact ps support, you will be asked to send your log files, your NSR report and everything will be blamed on your internet connection or your user file is corrupt. I have literally sent them 14-15 times my log files along with NSR report file and was told to contact my isp everytime. They are not ready to accept that their new software works terrible if you have a "bad connection" as they say.

Or, you switch to PS6-style tabs globally, which makes the whole main lobby function like PS6:

But if you do this, you'll lose the new Online Events and Live Events sections.
Changing between these options does nothing for me on the client, wtf? This update is ****ed. Just because stars wants it to feel more like a video game to non regs

yeh anuj is right, even tho i never had one lag issue with stars 6 and only since i started using stars7 have had terrible lag at the tables, lobby etc making it impossible to play i get this response....

As you can see the traces fail starting at hop # 2 for all sites traced. The issue for you is not your connection to your ISP as this is perfectly stable. This is shown in the first few hops having a quality of 100. The issue lies in between your ISP and our server, unfortunately, this is something that neither you or PokerStars can be responsible for. However, there are a few things you can try to improve this connection.

First, we will run a constant ping to the PokerStars servers which should help stabilize the connection. To do this please use the following instructions depending on your Operating System:

For Mac:

1) Click on the Spotlight (located in the top right hand corner of the screen)
2) Type Terminal then click on the link to the program once it displays
3) Type ping www.pokerstars.com then press enter
4) Minimize this window and run the PokerStars software

If this does not improve your connection then you will need to contact your ISP and ask them to check if they are losing packets when they try to ping the PokerStars server. You must tell them that your connection to their server is fine it is after the packet leaves their server that you experience issues. If possible ask if they can route your traffic to our servers through a different path.

Their determination to not admit how **** this client is and not keep stars6 as the client till stars7 is not full of faults is going to keep alot of players away from the tables.

If this so far makes sense, maybe you can think of hiring one or if feeling generous a few developers, that actually know what they are doing.

We are investigating the issue with the client taking a long time to close, and I hope we'll have a resolution with the client updates next month.

Here is a screenshot of the Logout/Exit control mentioned by P0k3Y:

This is the first I've heard of Main Lobby Controls failing to alter the presentation of the filters.

First, are you using the Main Lobby or the Quick Seat lobby? These controls only affect the Main Lobby. They work either globally (from the Settings app, but you have to click OK or Apply buttons in the Settings app footer) or within a top-level tab (like Cash Games, Zoom, etc.) from the gear icon.

Second, when you switch between Filters and Tabs, which version is persisting? In other words, are you stuck on Filters (PS7 style) or Tabs (PS6 style) for your Main Lobby controls?

Third - please let me know which client version you're using (go to Help > About PokerStars and look for the 4-digit build number).

FYI - the recent client updates include a PS6 feature that was missing in PS7 up till now, and which a couple of players have asked about.

In PS6, you could close the client either through the [x] control in the window frame of the lobby, or by clicking 'Lobby' in the top menu bar and then 'Exit', as shown here:

Now, in PS7, this same function has been added to the Account app:

Just updated to 7. This is something that is really annoying me. I hope it can be fixed.

In the cash games lobby I have "games view" selected. When I view a table there are two optional views. One shows a list of players seated at the table with a list of players waitlisted underneath. The second view shows the table seating arrangement including empty seats, this view is preferable because you can simply click on empty seat to sit down however when using this view the waitlist is in a separate tab even though there is a plenty of space under the table image to list waiting players (as was the case in Stars 6). This is really annoying when multi-tabling and trying to manage waitlists etc.

It would be great if Stars could place the waitlist (or make it optional) under the table view the same as it was in 6.

curious but what hotkey do you all use for going all in? What about the raise all in as well or most don't do that. Does having a hotkey of all in works if someone bets then you go all in? Bit confused with those 2 hotkeys.
