I'm not really sure what you're talking about. You do realize the suggestion discussed was to order the cards in your hand according to rank, right? I feel this is similar to introducing themes that make the cards more readable. It's a cosmetic change, that will make it a bit easier to play, and won't help newbs more than it helps regs.
I actually also support displaying the current strength of your hand (which is what I think you were talking about), but I completely understand the arguments against that, and I won't lobby for it for that reason. But what possible reason can one have to ordering cards according to rank? I don't really think it'll prevent any mistakes (maybe one time in a 100,000 hands) but it will make the game a bit more playable for everyone, which is in our interest. If anything, it can increase hands per hour in PLO games by a hand or two per hour (since people will be spending less time deciphering their hand), which is in the best interest of regs who always want to increase their hourly.
