People complain that there are too many shortstackers infesting the games.
Yet people also claim that almost all players are against shortstackers.
Seems pretty contradictory to me.
The players who actually are shortstacking somehow don't count in this 'almost all players' criteria or something?
No idea if there are more full-buyin players multi-tabling or short-stackers. But I seem to see plenty of short-stackers who I believe are only on one table and are 'taking their shot', possibly with their almost all of their remaining bankroll, or whatever....whereas I believe many of the full-buyin players are the types to multi-table.
Thus, I believe that it's an even higher percentage of the total number of players playing short than what glancing at just one table would indicate.
Even if that's not the case, I think the fact that there is SOME percentage of players who are short-stacking contradicts the idea that 'almost everybody is against short-stackers'.
I'm not even coming in and saying to keep the buy-in low or not allow deep-stack tables or whatever.
I would love for there to be some deep-stack tables for some of you nits to go running too. Could make the regular tables really spetacularly awesome. I find it hard to believe that you guys would actually want these tables that I don't believe would attract any fish at all and would just be a bunch of 2+2'er deep-stack types playing against each other. But if that's your preference then I'm all for it.
All I'm really saying is that the idea that 'almost everybody' is against them is probably not correct otherwise far fewer players would be doing it in the first place.
I really don't think this should be yet another thread about how much some of you guys hate short-stackers. But it keeps getting brought up and I really disagreed with that claim so I thought I would address it.
