After I downloaded the update, I now have no Pokerstars sounds and there isn't a Stars mixer option for volume either. Anyone else stuck with this or have an idea whats up? Really is brutal when multi tabling/tasking or on breaks and used to hearing the beeps to get your attention. I checked the sound settings and everything is on and normal. hmmm

Options > Advanced Multi-Table Options > Don't steal focus from chat and notes.

ya i gotta admit though i dig the subtlety of the change for the final table in theory, in practice i cant even see any difference with my hud cluttering things up

the option to let people design their own background/felt or choose their own custom theme for fts would make this addition meaningfull for me

Hating on the whole cap on SNG lobbies for higher stakes. Why is this only implemented at the higher stakes? I think it should be uniform. Granted tho there should be more at the lower stakes.

I actually am in favor of capping the amount of lobbies generated, but capping it to only 4 lobbies for $60 is too small. It should be around 8 lobbies for $60+ and maybe 12 for <$60.

not really a software related request but imo anyone who uses a player's stats to insult another play (e.g. haha youre down $10k you huge fish, etc) should be insta-chat banned for at least a few days. in my experience the mod just comes, tells everyone to behaviour, and if they carry on doing it then the mod only warns them again.

Anyone having trouble running Stars at all since these new updates. I connect to the server fine but then nothing will load up in the lobby, it just stays blank and says loading. I thought it may have something to do with my current connection and speed as i'm on holidays and not at home, yet i'm running 6 other tabs fine and 2 of them are poker clients.

The difficulty with this issue generally is that the "punishment" to the offender is not announced at the tables - that is, only the offender knows what action is taken. Thus, there are many incidents where the complainant is unaware of the action taken (and it often looks like no action was taken, even though it was).

With non-malicious rules breaches, it is our typical policy to warn on the first offence, and then institute harsher penalties for subsequent offences.

Hopefully this explains the situation a little further.

when you select a custom graphic for your table the client saves a copy of that image at the preferred dimensions. The can be found

depending on what theme you are using there will be separate images for the regular backgrounds and final tables.

so taking nova as an example they are bg.jpg and bg-on.jpg found in the

folders

so, use the client to apply custom background.
copy these images from the 1st set of folders to the theme's directory.
back up the original images that the theme uses
rename your custom ones to the relevant names and bush...bash...bosh you're set.

I can handle them. And for the most part (~98% i know what happened)
but when you're playing that many tables it just has to happen in certain pots that you don't remember what EXACTLY happened

The cap on SNG lobbies is being implemented at higher stakes first as a trial. Based on how well it works in practice, we will look at extending it to other buy-ins in the near future. The cap of four simultaneous registrations was based on player feedback in this thread:

Stars really need to get rid of waiting lists, for so many reasons.

I don't like the new luminous green "seat open" box colour (slick dark theme).

It's pretty off-putting.

When the public Beta of Fast Ring Game Poker starts, will it also be available on the Mac-Version? Will it be on Pokerstars.FR too?

Or will the public beta only be on Pokerstars.com Windows-Versions in the beginning?

Too many ratholers. Min buy in should be 50-60 on the 100 bbs tables.

ya thats why I ask caue if the non-ratholers dont buy in with 40bb for the most part, i dont see a reason to keep 40bb buy in

- higher minimum buyin (50, 60 or 100)
- 16 tables max
- remove waitlists
