Hello 2+2,

First of all, I would like to wish you all a very successful 2011! We are having another planned client update over the next days. Here is the list of the new features which we are adding:

Home Games

We are all very excited to launch Home Games! Home Games is a brand new product, unlike anything else in online poker – it is designed to let you create and manage your own private poker club, where you play the ring games and tournaments you choose, with just your friends, at the time you want. All you need to do is open your own club or join a club created by one of your poker buddies and you are set to schedule and play your very own online Home Game right through the PokerStars client!

The feature is currently in a short beta stage and will be rolled out very soon to .COM clients with plenty of advertising and web content and training materials to explain to you how exactly it works.

Customizable VIP Club Progress Bar

Yes, as requested now we will offer you the ability to customize the VIP Stellar Rewards progress bar to different goals. We are re-branding this as a VIP Club Progress Bar and now you can choose between Stellar Rewards and Milestones, VIP level, or a monthly or yearly VPPs target. To access the customization menu, go to “Options” > “Customize VIP Club Progress Bar”.

Automatic Seating when you Accept a Seat from Waiting List

When you accept a seat from a waiting list you will now be automatically seated and will immediately see the buy in dialog. As a result, you would not have to click on a reserved seat anymore. If you have “Auto-Buy-In (Ring Games)” enabled in the Options menu, you will be instantly bought in as well, without needing to make any more clicks. We appreciate that some players might not like this, so we have added an option to keep the old behavior. If you want to still click on a specific reserved seat manually, please uncheck “Options” > “Advanced Multi-table Options” > “Auto-Seat Me after accepting reserved seat”.

Other Updates

“Single-click table activation” will be turned on by default from now on. This setting is controlled from “Options” > “Advanced Multi-Table Options...”.
Lobby scrolling of the list of games should be improved for players who are using a mouse which sends partial scroll updates.
The “Advanced Multi-Table Options” menu has been slightly changed to improve its usability.
Various small bug fixes – lobby image settings not being applied correctly, redrawing of tables after resizing by external programs (Windows 7 or third party scripts) and others.

Note: As usual, the above changes would only take effect once your gaming client has been updated, which could happen at different times for different players. We expect all clients to be updated by end of this week.

Thank you so much for the customizable progress bar. So much win there.

Even though all your customers are still waiting for announcements on more... significant changes, I really do appreciate these cosmetic upgrades.

Most other poker sites just look/run like trash, I'm glad stars pays attention to presentation and usability.

Still like to see the sit out and close single table feature. I really loved it when they came out with the sit out and close all tables feature, but to make it a single table would be the absolute nuts.

It would be good for Stars too, instead of a having a "dead" seat at a table until I can scroll through and find/close it.

1 time for us mass multitablers, please.

Thanks for the upgrade to allow private ring games. I am one who has requested this in the past. The private tourneys are great but the ring games will be a nice addition. Good job listening Stars!!!

nice, I love this. can u get progress bar up over 100k vpps? So I can see progress to my vpp goal at for example 200 or 300k?

Yup, you can set 234,567 for example, monthly, yearly, etc. It's awesome.

a quick test shows this working as expected when resizing tables programatically. but it looks like f5redrawtable is gone (required when manually resizing tables). am i overlooking something?

love the customizable bar !
# Lobby scrolling is fail. it jumps huge chunks now , same in vip store

did people really complain about smooth scrolling?

The instant seat is okay ..but there are times when two seats are reserved and i sometimes like to choose one..but oh well.

Sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere in the first 600 pages, but I've always thought it would be a pretty cool and easy add to have a little number in parentheses after the chip stack showing the number of BBs.

I like the progress bar but would have hoped there would be a daily setting too. I like to set small daily goals for VPP's.

could you please elaborate on this? It seems like they may be some crucial changes here for people with custom themes or AHKs etc.
