I haven't played with the changes yet but already like them.

One question regarding the "sit out next bb and close table" thing. Will I get vpps for the last hand? It sounds like it first sits me out and only then closes the table, but you can never be sure enough. Confirmation from stars rep pls.

Yes, you will get VPPs for the last hand. You sit out in the hand you are supposed to pay the big blind and only then the table closes, so the previous hand is already over.

I thought so. Thanks for confirmation.

+1 Right clicking on a player and selecting a colour. Especially now with HEM live tracking.

Stefan, I posted countless times in the last year(s) about the focus steal when taking a note. Will you ever fix it?

We are aware of the challenges of taking a note when multi-tabling. That said, I cannot give you an estimate of when we will implement a solution to the problem.

Note that we cannot simply keep the table on top while you are taking a note as posters have suggested. If we do so, you will potentially time out on other tables where you need to act (what happens if you forget to remove the focus from the notes area for instance?).

You can also use the re player for taking notes; IIRC the focus won't get grabbed from there.

It's been a while since I played on FTP and even longer since I played on party, but IIRC both sites did in fact "steal focus" i.e. a table requiring action popped up in front of the note window. However the note window kept accepting keyboard input even though it wasn't visible anymore. I'm not a programmer and have very little clue about computer stuff, my common sense tells me though that this might have to do with both sites using a seperate note window (at least they did when I was playing them) as opposed to stars where it's incorporated into the table window.

I personally don't really care because I tile and take my notes in HEM anyways, but this problem sounds like a real PITA for stackers and cascaders.

AFAIK stars auto-puts a cursor in the chatbox of the currently active table. Maybe your programmer guys can just fix that and let the user choose whether he wants to chat or not, and if he so wishes has to click the chat box before doing so.

I apologize if this post is a bit longwinded and cluttered, but talking about programming stuff (something I don't really understand) in english (which is non-native for me) is kinda hard. I hope you get what I mean.

FYI - since I tile, the only focus-stealing problem I have is when tables load and when I bust on a table. Tables used to steal focus twice when they opened - once when they actually opened, and once when my AHK script closed the OK dialog. Well you fixed the first thing, but they still steal focus when the OK dialog comes up. And the same thing when I bust.

If you would just let us disable the OK dialogs altogether (both the table open and bustout dialogs) my playing experience would be much much better.

thx for listening and replying

If someone timesout when taking a note he is playing too many tables imo.

A possible fix would be to do it the FTP way; the note box pops out and it's still possible to write a note without the the software stealing focus when it's your turn to act.

I'm getting this too. I assumed that they moved the buttons and I was doing it myself through muscle memory, but didn't get an answer as to whether this is the case.

Either they moved the button, or sit out next blind is the default.

I also noticed that TD 2-7 is buggy. I was often not able to draw more than one card. As soon as I clicked on a single card, the draw was automated.

With all these new changes, one thing I would really like is if we can click "sit out next big blind" on individual tables, we are picked up and the table is closed automatically when it comes to our big blind. As a stacker, sometimes tables do not steal focus when I sit out, and they end up buried on the bottom of the stack, so I sit at the table unwittingly until I get removed by Stars. This benefits neither me nor Stars.

+1 million for detachable note box that works across multiple tables.
  • Open note box and leave in fixed position of my choosing on desktop
  • Double click player
  • Player's name and notes pop into notebox
  • Option for note box to always remain on top of all windows
  • Right click for color ring popup directly over player on table

This would make my life about 78% easier.

i always find i open a lot more tables then is good for me when steaming. stupid but true

also, an option to auto post blinds, but the 1st hand you play is big blind

This isn't happening to me anymore after installing the latest Table Ninja update...

i have a random idea

if you put a link into a players note function, you should then be able to click that link at a later point?

My usual request, expressed this time as a haiku:

crazy pineapple
discard one card after flop
please introduce it

Actually, this is an easy thing to achieve. Someone simply removed the "center on parent" flag from the cashier window. The other explanation is that cashier window is no longer a child of the lobby.

If you launch a dozen notepads, they will usually appear as a cascaded stack. The conventions for creating new windows are quite simple: the window manager remembers where the last "default" window was originally drawn. The next window is drawn a little to the right and a little down from that point. A "default" means a window that did not specify location in any way.

So whatever the client update did, cashier window is now created without explicit placement.

Yeah, this is really annoying. I really hate it. Please fix, stars.

Which Tourney do i play at the moment?

Please implement a (colored) Tourneyinfo. I want know which 'Tourney i play (when it pops up, stacked).
The info in the left corner (Border) is to small to read fast when Multitabling.

This is completely dependent on your monitor resolution as the Stars tables are a fixed ratio.

Bigger monitor/resolution or 2nd monitor would be the solution.
