Is it normal for stars tables to lag after the update? Using carbon lite and now there is a lot of lag. Someone mentioned this issue earlier but is it still happening? This happens even when just a few tables.



There is also the issue when registering for tournaments. Normally you register and it registers but there is a few second lag every single time?



Also, is there a way to change the stars lobby back to how it was before the update? When you click on tournaments, it looks horrible. Also when you ciick on your registered tournaments, instead of some tournaments displaying a red color, it's not orange? I know many people probably don't mind this but can you change that? As I recalled, when you clicked on my registered tournaments, many tournaments are in red or blue or whatever color and now it looks horrible.

I have the same issues since the update that introduced card animations in the replayer. The lag, for me, is tied to the global traffic on stars--higher traffic, more lag. There's a clear latency bump whenever I register or unregister something as well.

What do you mean by card animations in the replayer? I did notice when opening the replayer, it's much different than before.



So everyone here is that lag issue then since the stars update? It doesn't auto register fast when you click register and you have to wait a bit. Also, what about when you click on my registered tournaments and now tournaments are displaying different colors? The old format was fine but why did they randomly change stuff? Example a hot was red but now it's orange?



Also what about how the tournament lobby looks now? Does anyone find the font and color that is used horrible? Is there a way to revert back to the old software?

The replayer should be without any animations and they are working to fix that.

Today after the sofware update my cpu is working on 100% when I open ONE table.
Before this update when 4 table opened my cpu worked below 50%.

More reasons why I never update until it's forced.

And by the time it's forced they usually have these kinks ironed out.

Go in your pokerstars folder and make a shortcut to pokerstars.exe rather than pokerstarsupdate.exe.

This has been stated 1000+ times and noone takes the advice

tbf sometimes (if you havent updated in years) you cannot start/play pokerstars without updating to the latest version
but yes, in general, never any need to update

Is anybody else lagging like crazy in the last few days ? Can't play right now...lagging all the time and getting disconnected in the middle of a hand.

Also zoom table sometimes won't load after you fold,is there any way to reduce/eliminate the lag ? my internet is working fine,no problems with other services...i'm in south america btw.

It is mildly unacceptable in my view to host a Mystery Bounty tournament and not reveal / publish (once ITM) the Mystery Bounty pool split.

The only thing visible is a number next to each player showing how many one individual has eliminated, which is totally worthless.

In addition, if they don't reveal post-completion at all, it's on the verge of shady as they can just as easily skim X amounts without no one ever flinching.

Finally, I haven't even touched point on the strategical aspect of things, not knowing how much of the bounty prize pool is left thus unable to even approximately calculate the value of a bounty at a given time.

This absolutely needs to be fixed by the next iteration.

Downloaded the installer, running it, the update window pops up, the progress bar goes abut 30%, than it stops...
Not freezing ( the close button is active), no fail massage, just stop...
Any idea, what's the pronblem?

CHANGE THE 4 TABLE CAP

is it just me or do the cards look smaller and harder to read after the latest update? i resized the tables bigger but noticed my eyes still feel more tired after each session

Not just you. Cards are smaller now. They do not scale up when resising tables like they used to.
Another software "improvement" that is good for you. You just don't know it yet.

Anyone with working .com version with no card animations and preferably old MTT lobby aswell? Willing to even pay for that version if someone can send it. Or anyone figured a way to turn the card animation off somehow?

I have the one with animations off. Not sure about mtt lobby as I don't play them. Send me a message if you want it.

Fwiw I don't recommend getting poker software from unofficial sources for obvious reasons.

So everytime the cards are dealt, it would show the 2 cards being dealt and then having the cards switch places every single time. Thus the card on the left would move to the right etc. This happens at every table when I tested it. Is that how the new software is?


I went to settings and have the card animation cards dealt off. I put normal and then turbo and same issue?

There is a setting somewhere where you can turn it off. Table layout I think.

Where is the setting for that? So it's not the animation option of normal or turbo or off correct? Because I tried that and it didn't work.


Isn't there 2 ways of being dealt? Such that the cards are dealt or the cards just pop up?


Either way, the issue is the cards rearranging itself everytime the cards are dealt.

It has been temporarily removed but when back, will be under the table settings to uncheck card sorting
