Haven't play on stars in a while. But the tables now look much different than previously. The tables look much worst than previously. When did stars do this update?


Also after busting out of a tournament, how come there is no message of asking if you like to reenter? Anyone else have this as well?

Update was like a few weeks to month depending on the license . Don't know about mtts don't play them.

Pokerstars, fix your Ontario client. Got the "location verification error" while playing cash resulting in timing out and folding a hand for the third time. Unless my room can fly, I'm pretty sure I was in Ontario for the duration of the hand. This has been going on for MONTHS without a fix and is just unacceptable.

I am having problems with Chests, before it was glitchy but now whatever I am doing not working. Also I can not reach you from app because it is also giving errors when I click help table. Other than that everything working normally.

Idk if it's the same for you, but the update reset 90% of my settings, so you probably just have to re-do them...

Where is the setting that allow stars to ask you if you like to reenter or not? Checked settings and there isn't an option for that.


The moment a table is busted, the message of asking if you like to reenter seems to show up and disappear very fast or it doesn't show up at all.

Anybody have problems with the spin and go race promo?
I am losing it with Stars. I opt in and then see the info, the fuel and points etc for a few races .. but then it disappears. Gone to the extent of clearing cache and downloading and reinstalling a few times now and then Stars says I should not see anything after I finish the race. It's total BS though. The next day I should start afresh and see the info and I see nothing.

I'm losing a lot on not doing the promo and wasting time on the software. I'm so fuc ed at Stars

What do yo mean it disappears? Every time you end a spin after losing fuel it asks you to see where you are at the lb. Just play your game don't pay any attention to the lbs if you cash you will receive a chest from that. And you are not losing a lot. It's like 5% rb at best in the longer run.

It's just annoying knowing the software is not working and then wanting to grind the games and not, in trying to resolve the issue. It's definitely fuc ed. I'm surprised nobody else has had the problem. Mobile shows leaderboard and desktop loses it. It's even just a tidy way of doing some volume on certain days. But anyway Stars is obviously totally broke, not just in the issue happening in the first place on top of others, but how they respond to it. Can't play GG on my laptop because somehow my laptop is deemed a security issue or something ? It was a new Huawei. Just weirdness.

Jesus F are you literally saying that there are no problems at Stars ? Probably trolling .. but FWIW the support at Stars has fallen off a cliff, much like any other multi-national, and so there is obviously a fall off in resolving issues. The one device in question, is a new Huawei, and so it's not in the realms of fantasy that GG decided that was somehow a risk. Anyway .. play on brother

The software is not working for a lot of people for a lot or arguably too much of the time.

Anyone getting high CPU usage and lag recently?

Yeah I put up a post a while ago about this with a screenshot of my CPU. Not good, although the lag has not been so bad but because I am playing less tables.

Yeh 2 tables of zoom is fine for me, add in a 3rd and it just melts my computer.

I put up a few posts about it - report it to stars, they said i was the only one.
Ever since the last update to aurora in dec i tried everything, drivers, reinstalls yadayada...
ended up having to switch computers entirely. gl to ya

Once in a while I'll join a spin and go while multitabling on desktop and it'll start the game with me sitting out. There doesn't seem to be a clear way for me to sit in. Is there a way for me to get back into this game without restarting the client?

This was posted to discord regarding the random dcs. Don't know if it helps but guess it's worth a try if someone is having those issues. Like me.

Survived a phase 1 for a scoop and now this tournament counts against my table cap until Pokerstars resolves the client issue or the phase 2 has been played which is at the end of May. Just a great start before scoop. According to customer service they know the problem. Would have been nice to be informed of such issues. Oh yeah the other solution would be to unregister phase2 and forfeit the stack.

My pokerstars rsa token expired a while ago, so I have to log into pokerstars by having a one time password send to my phone.

The problem is you can't request the one time password when you log into pokerstars on your phone.

Not being able to log into pokerstars on my phone is a problem for me, since I play tournaments and like to have my phone as a back up in case my internet doesn't work.

So I logged into pokerstars on my laptop via one time password and then tried to disable the rsa token. But to disable the rsa token you have to type in the rsa token password, which I can't do because my rsa token has expired.

Please help!

omg. Thanks very much for posting this, it really fixed my software issues
I was having high CPU usage, like my PC was going to melt!
It had me thinking I might have to give up on pokerstars as they had finally ruined the software for good, but this has actually fixed it.
PS support for some reason, even after weeks/months of talking, never managed to ever tell me this, at any point.
I feel like this might need its own thread, so other players with melting computers can see it.

Anyone else have these lag bursts where the whole client just starts to load at the same time than new tables are opening / old ones are closing? What about tables rarely going missing? They seem to automatically close (very rarely) when they move you to another table. Both have been going on for a while now. I've had the ocassional lag burst with at least 3 different setups I think so I assume this one is something that any grinder has faced. It got better when they made some changes to optimize the client memory. I guess there is no cure for this just curious what others think. Or there kind of is because it is not happening if you just casually play and don't reg new tables lol.

And is there still a way to use the legacy client? I recall there was some way to close the force update message? Although I think I recall some saying it was finally done with last decemberish. I gave up on it myself right when the force message appeared but kind of curious about it atm with all these issues staying unsolved for so long.

I'm having trouble updating my client. Yesterday everything worked fine.
