Some of the fine print confused me, so thought this challenge would take longer to complete than it did? Looks like today took 245 hands - although am playing during peak time today because it's a holiday, and tables seem to be a bit tighter at night, so maybe that helped? Plus was running better than usual, which helped for sure ... sometimes the Pyramid was taking me as many as +600 hands?

Was hoping to win at least $2 to be able to pick up a smoothie at McDs - guess will have to save up and wait for tomorrow lol ...




Was also hoping they'd have something different (more fun) for the Olympics! Guess what makes these cash challenges seem repetitive is that the only thing am ever looking at in the Challenge box, is ...

Kudos to the guy who scripted this tourney. I had specifically asked him not to miss the important levels and he got levels added which we don't normally see in a tourney like 350/700 700/1400 900/1800 and many more levels. So there won't be any big jumps.

Usually these hyper tourneys in the daily schedule with 3k ss have 30 mins late reg, 45 mins level for this structure is fine I guess. You can still have 10 bb at the very last min of late reg which is standard and consistent with other daily tourneys.

I'm expecting hundreds but would be very nice if it got more than 1k

Not mad at the promo...or mad at all actually

Just feel that Stars is going downhill in terms of there offerings for promos. In days gone by there promos we're often something to look forward to and players benefited from them a lot more than currently.

You only have to look at there current all-in shootouts rewards for there promos. They all pay only 256 players and have thousands of entrants. Your chances of cashing are slim, therefore your chances of being rewarded for participating in the promo are slim.
In the past, those same shootouts would have paid out players based on player numbers and not a measly 256, meaning more players would've benefited and gotten a little something back for taking part.

Anyway, it's just my opinion based on my experiences and from my being a Pokerstars player for a long period of time.

Have done well in my MTT's over the last week, have had some major deep runs and BR is looking healthy on both the pokersites I play on so, nothing to complain about here.

I know all about those cash giveaway shootouts you mentioned but, thanks anyway.

True that stars promos are going downhill like the whole company. And those strd shootouts are completely joke. Even I can't bother to reg. And when speaking about promos I'd like to have some play x ammount of hands type promos.

Yeah...I remember a promo (along time ago now) when we had the chance to play in tournaments against people who were solely from your country and then the best of those went on to represent your country against other countries.

It was awesome to play against and get to know a few of your fellow countrymen better, along with the bragging rights that came with doing well in them.

Pokerstars should run something similar alongside of the olympics, it would be epic and no doubt we'll received.

It's not the info - it's the copy/paste unattributed. You're up to 10 registrations now, but 6 of those are Greeks doing their tax minimising thing - call it 4 registrations. I had assumed the Greeks only register/unregister the large buyin tourneys, but it seems not. I suppose there's a script they use for this laborious task.

I also didn't realise your tournament structure was 'tuned' by someone at PokerStars based on your words - I supposed they gave you access to a template like in Home Games where you choose your options for your games.

You have seen the success of pokemon go right? Now stars gotta come up with something similar for their poker games. Stars got the best brains in the industry so go ahead and merge your games with augmented reality. I am certain you can come up with something. Try!

The challenge tab is not loading for me. Tried it last night and this morning again (on both fulltilt and stars). I am on a mac. Wonder if others have been having this issue too.

+1 for sometime of olympics promo/challenge would be awesome, although perhaps too tight to arrange this now if not already in the making.

Wtf ps u earn x2 rake for plo10 then nlhe10 and u dont want to make that low paid promo to both player pools. U know, that promo if u run it in plo10 a lot of players will add some plo tables and u should win a lot... just make it like 1/4 poits for hands str+ for plo (or some math number compared to average played number of hands for nlhe).

Like for my previous post if u have good promo (or promo at all) players will add tables (if the play mtts/sng will add at the beginning or ending of their session), mostly not replaced them, or even some players will deposit to play only for the promo, others will play coz its easy player pool, and u earn what then without promo.

someone should open a site specialized in PLO and run it to the top the same way stars run the first tournaments and dominate the market.

Could we please get some HU zoom tables for 5 card, its really annoying trying to play heads up on regular tables, with the game being new, I'm sure alot of people would like to give it a try.

I got an email from vip pokerstars asking me to fill the form with all the details of tourney format like name, date, speed, buy in, starting stack, players per table, description of the tourney, etc etc. And also I made some requests asking them not to miss important blind levels, have at least 45 mins late reg, 12.5 % places paid

This is a known issue affecting Mac users that is being worked on by our developers. Apologies for any inconvenience - you should be able to log in on any mobile device, opt in to the challenge, and then go back to your Mac to actually play; once you've started it, it will count the progress and grant rewards whether you can open the challenge window or not.

re: Making it possible to earn points in other game types - can be considered for future if we can find a reasonably equitable table of points for other games, and without drowning players in fine print terms & conditions of "here's 100 different ways to earn points and the various specific conditions that must exist to earn them".

I do continue to monitor this thread and appreciate all the feedback provided; I'd love to see more ideas suggested in terms of challenge based promotions.

Frankly these promotions as structured make PokerStars look like a welfare hand out, used suit. Very bad for net depositor RETENTION.
